Chuck South vs Liberty week FINALLY

Been waiting for this week since the end of last season. I sincerely believe that the winner of this game will win the Big South this year. Bucs came home from Hawaii pretty healthy with no injuries of concern and with 2 weeks to prepare they should be ready to go come 3:30 Saturday afternoon. It being homecoming for the Flames, there should be a record crowd on hand.

Yes yes. Do us all a favor and beat SBU when you head up there!

It's no doubt CSU has had this game circled on their calendar. Time to prove us LU fans wrong. Our guys won't be taking you lightly. I think we should and will win, but it will be a challenge. We have to play well to win. Hopefully we can put you guys away early.

Any word on Stevenson's status?

Yupp. If we don't play well CSU wins. If our team goes out there actually ready to play we'll win. But it should be a fairly close game.

Should be 100% come Saturday. I'll check with him today and see how he is feeling, not that he would admit it to anyone if he was less than 100%.

Any idea on how many CSU fans intend on making the trip up to Lynchburg?

No, may be a couple of organized bus groups along with the players families and die hard fans. My guess is around 300-500 or so. Maybe more if the hype gets big enough.

Well hype it up! haha. We want to break 20,000 in attendance this week and we can do it since it's Homecoming and all.

KBM, CSU's home stadium seats 4,000. Don't plan on them having many fans at all.

Not yet, only took a few. Left at the half. One of the most boring games I have ever seen.

Sorry CSU, but you are heading straight into the teeth of a blowout. After scaring LU last year, you won't sneak up on them this time....

LU 34
CSU 13

I'm worried. I think Toscano has a great game, but LU is able to outscore the Bucs.

3 point win for LU, scores in the 30's and 40's.

How "rowdy" can 20,000 well-behaved fundamentalists get? :?

Well you wont need tear gas or riot control...But if you want to have a blast in a family suitable environment then a Liberty football game is the place to be.

I have the Flames winning this one. It wont be the 42-0 ramrodding that the Bucs endured last time they were here (on homecoming no less) but LU has only lost twice at home since the start of 2007 (JMU and Lafayette) and has not lost a conference game at home since 2006. Add to that the fact that CSU lost their last four trips to the mountain with a high of 20 points in those four trips. CSU puts some good points up but I think the Flames will start on the road to a winner take all showdown with SBU in Lynchburg with a 42-31 win

im assuming this is the "murder".

edit: another article on it: http://www2.newsadvance.com/news/2009/d ... ar-219861/
Guthrie said the property where the body was discovered is owned by Liberty University.
and:
Falwell also said there have not been any heightened safety concerns among the students on campus, which is located more than a mile from where the body was found.
Back to football: i see this as being a very high scoring game with the flames winning a close one on the freakish athleticism of mike brown and chris summers.

Why are we talking murder on this thread? Let's talk about LU continuing it's CSU dominance.

It was a quick question. Saw it on the report and didn't want an entire new thread on it :) back to CSU! Has CSU played in front of 20,000 fans recently??? I wonder if that'll be a factor or if they're use to it? I've gotta check there schedule/attendance for away games again.

Okay I just looked it up. 30,300 in attendance when they went to Hawaii. Something I just noticed was THAT WAS THERE ONLY AWAY GAME THUS FAR! Week 5 and they've only traveled once. So to answer my own question yes I think our Home advantage will certainly be a factor in this game.

They played in front of over 90,000 at the Swamp last year. You won't intimidate them one bit with 20,000 people
