Mariana from Berquist AGAIN....42 yards this time....21-21.
Actually, jon, with the two early turnovers and lots of penalties, this game isn't NEARLY as close as this score would indicate....

Berquist is 14-18, 213 yrds and 3 TD's....they can NOT stop the Berquist to Mariani connection....

Yeah. The difference is, if the CATS had 5 turnovers and 9 penalties against Central Wa., they get beat by 21.
Does Chadron State ring a bell?

(d(ummmmmmm(b).........................that was a different coach and a couple years ago.
Certainly you can do better than that.

Sounds like a heck of a game, even if the final score doesn't accurately represent how close the game really was - or wasn't.

No, it really was that close.
UM didn't take the lead until the 3rd. CWU came back from an 11-point deficit in the 4th. to tie (recovered an onside kick), Griz then get the FG to win w/ 1 second left.
Montana outgained Central by over 200 yards, but 5 turnovers (4 fumbles) made it back & forth.

I very seldom, if ever, complain about the refs in any football game.
This is for two reason...(1) My yammering about a missed/bad/whatever call won't make any difference, and (2) I certainly don't need anything else to expose my lack of football knowledge.
With that said, I think the officiating crew that covered the CWU/UM game today, was quite possibly the worse group of referees that I've EVER seen call a game...for BOTH teams!
Some will argue that the BSC is a weak Conference, which may or may not be true. But if officiating is any indicator of how weak a Conference is, the BSC has got to be about as sturdy as a piece of wet, 1-ply toilet paper, IMO.

that was a different coach and a couple years ago, but the result would be the same today.....a 21 point loss.
True, the Griz "sucked one out", with 5 TO's and 9 penalties....THAT says more about the Griz than anything else.

On more than one occasion I witnessed The Grizo very unhappy with the officiating. And I agree with every thing said in above post.
