Care to make a small wager on the ISUred vs ISUblue game if you so think the Trees are winning it?

I am also going out on a limb and saying SDSU and NDSU will be sitting pretty at 0-3 in the league.

Penguins open up as a 3pt favorite over NDSU.

If I cared about ISU(b) maybe. But I don't. Just thought it would be even more chaotic if the bottom 4 teams in the conference could knock off some of the top teams and make the entire Valley within a game or less of 1st place.

I can see Indiana State winning at least 2 MVFC games over Illinois State and SDSU.

OK OK, enough. The Jacks may be 0-4, but has everyone forgotten the goddamn schedule we have had to play. Granted, it is a terribly dissappointing record for a team ranked #9 preseason, but to say the team is the cellar-dweller of the MVC is a bit retarded. Go ahead and count SDSU as an auto win, but don't be surprised if that gets shoved up your asses when the time comes, the Jacks aren't quite what their record makes them out to be. I'm sure some of the UNI fans would agree that I'm not off-base in saying that. The Jacks aren't what they were made out to be perhaps, but they for fuck sure ain't a goddamn pushover. Bank on that. I guarantee that any other team plays the schedule we played in the beginning would not have a super record either. @ UD, then ISUr, then @ #6 Nebraska, then @ UNI. The only break was ISUr, if that can be considered a break. Give it a week or two before the Jacks are considered the easy win doormat of the conference. :tothehand:

Egads!
I just realized the Deadbirds could be in first place by a half game after this weekend by a half game if
WIU gets upset and the Dawgs take down the Panthers in Carbondale. Not that far-fetched a prospect.

Good to see some INSU guys getting involved here. Stick up for your Sycamores, better days DO lay ahead!

As for you WIU guys, you ain't beat anyone until you've beaten Northern Iowa, so keep it down.

Easy Thumper, easy. We go 1-0. That remains the goal each and every week. We need to take care of business this week.

So far you are 0-4 on your going 1-0 goals. I get taking it week by week, but at some point you have go change something.

This conference baffles me.

Nothing makes sense.

How were we in a game on the road in which we had four turnovers? So frustrated.

It could be worse. At least you are not a Redbird fan.

Yeah...

Can Delaware just go undefeated in the CAA and make things easier on the rest of the country? Thanks.

You guys do realize that Indiana State is 3-2 overall, not 1-2.

Technically you are 3-2.

However, you have two wins over non D1 schools, so they literally don't count towards playoffs or really anything else that matters.

You are 1-2

IL State has been overrated and you heard that from me in July :thumb: My failed prediction our out here also  Redbirds have been here before over the years, recruiting well only to fall on their faces. Other than a weak football tradition I can't explain why they rarely put it together, but that has been their strongest tradition; underachievement. Not a IL State hater, just sharing 40 years of observation.

How'd that work out for ya? :thumb:

The goal of course for this week is 1-0 against SIU.
After that we'll see the 'guins for Hobo Day.....I wouldn't make any predictions against the home team for that one. :coffee:

Are you doing conference only games, or when did the team that has won 56% of the conference titles leave the conference?
