Where are our Bobcat buddies and what's your take on this?
BOZEMAN (AP) - The Montana State football coaches said backup quarterback Mark Iddins will not be promised playing time in Saturday's game against South Dakota.

It's been a very close battle between the two and Ash said that he would play both in the first three games. Apparently now he is convinced that Kempt is the guy and he's going to go with him. It's really a good situation because they're both very good, but I do feel a bit for Iddins having to take the back seat for now. As we're all aware a player can go down at any time, so it's nice to have an experienced backup ready to step in.

I think a clear cut #1 guy is always better. When you have two good ones that is OK, but it is hard for the offense to find a rythym. Having ridden the QB carousel the past few years it is not a place to be. The starter looking over his shoulder, fans screaming for the other guy, etc. Probably a good move by Ash to place a stake in the ground. He will have to listen to some fans screaming for the backup though now since he waited until game 4.
