I encourage FCS Fans to read this article on my website:

How do teams like this remain in the FCS! Montana-Appy-Delaware-YSU-JMU all average more than these horrific programs. Hell we average more than the MAC as a whole!

Without knowing the details back there, I would guess that YSU would generate more at the gate than Akron and Kent COMBINED. Of course, that's just based on supposition, since YSU is in the playoffs so often. The MAC, outside of Miami and perhaps the directional Michigans, isn't really all that well known away from their own locales.
How do they compare to Buffalo?

There is no reason to be FBS unless you are in a BCS conference. The MAC teams are nothing more than red headed step children to the BCS teams. Every once in a while the BCS teams will let a step child like Boise St. into a major bowl, but it's not a guarantee. Also, MAC schools have NO SHOT at a National Championship.
I want Delaware to remain in the FCS, but would support a move "up" only if Delaware was joining a BCS conference like the ACC or Big East.

THIS MUTHAFUCKA GOT A GOOD GADAMN POINT. whats the purpose for a team like montana to move up?
1 theres no playoffs so they dont have snow cones' shot in hell at any more titles.
2 they will have a much harder chance of getting a conference title.
3 with all those ass whoopins the attendance and football income would surely drop.
at least if they went div-1 BCS they would have a shot down the line.
the moral of the story is. "IF IT AINT BCS, DONT DO IT."
