OK, heading into the last weekend of October, who do you have in the finals?
Before anyone says "too early" or "the playoffs will decide"... no shit. This is just for fun.

Oh wait. The knee jerk reaction for me was a '07 re-match, but I'm having a hard time getting a gauge on ASU. In a couple of weeks it will be much more clear for them.
Despite the loss in W'burg, I think UD has a great defense and a good enough offense to make a run and get to Frisco.
If ASU falters, I would look for W&M or SFA to be there.

playoff committee kicks itself in the nuts for moving the game.

That would be pretty damn funny actually.

Have the Hens and Tribe ever been on opposite sides of the bracket? If I'm not mistaken, haven't they met at least three times in the playoffs?

CAA vs. CAA
Doesn't really matter though, cuz the CAA is going to win it all.

Semi's
CAA Autobid vs. CAA At Large
CAA At Large vs. CAA At Large
Finals CAA Autobid vs. CAA At Large
If Jacksonville State wins out, they'll probably be the #1 seed going into the playoffs.
If both ASU & W&M lose their FBS games, they will probably fall behind UD.
Assuming UD and Nova win their games before they meet, the winner will be the #2 Seed and possible CAA Champ.
Should the Tribe upset the Heels, then you're looking at your new #1 seed as they will most likely leap frog J'ville St. All they would have to do is finish the job and win their remaining CAA games to get the AB.
I voted Nova vs. the Tribe in Texas. Either way, it's another CAA National Championship.

I don't understand why there is an odd number of votes. Who only voted for one team in the finals?

I noticed that too and thought maybe somebody had OTHER playing OTHER... then I realized how much trouble some people have using the quote function, posting in the elimination game, etc... and just chalked it up to stupidity.

OR somebody voted for all the CAA options (excluding 'other') to make the final. I think there's a pretty good chance of that happening. This is the CAA we're talking about after all.

The teams have only met twice:
1986, Round 1 (Hens 51-17) in Williamsburg
2004, Quarters (Tribe 44-38) in Williamsburg
In both cases the playoff winner avenged a regular season loss. Reason enough not to see a rematch.
The only other times both teams made the playoffs (1993, 96), they were also on the same side of the bracket. Neither team reached the game where they would have played each other.

to the 5 people that voted Montana, they better hope this team can actually put a full game together. Week 8 and this team still has not picked up this offense totally. The O Line is having a lot ot trouble run blocking and the new scheme has basically cost Chase Reynolds a legit shot at the Peyton. Montana has talent but they need to find their groove because I don't think they way they are playing will get them that far in the playoffs

Montana 5 votes? lol, we'd be the first team in history to advance through the playoffs with double digit turnovers

I think UD and ASU have been the best two teams so far, so I went with them.

Probably why it seems that it's been more times.

So one vote for SFA and none for JSU. What does that say about their ranking?
