Griz Goddess Blogs for Make It Missoula...

Just a little sample of her wit:
Every now and then a lone Bobcat fan wanders into Duke’s, homesick and seeking solace from his Montana peeps. Despite being outnumbered, he’ll fling a little Cat poop until he’s properly humbled and welcomed into the fray – as long as he’s willing to buy us a beer, or a pitcher, or two. It always works to play the Montana card in this crowd. We take care of our own.

All that will change come November, during the Brawl of the Wild. A litter of Bobkitties will make a respectable appearance at Duke’s, which typically is overflowing by 10 a.m. prompting a confused local Fire Marshall to show up and tell Al to bar the doors against the Montana mob in the parking lot.
She's a keeper! :notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy:

If Montana's so great, why do so many Montanans leave? If I had a nickel for every Montanan/Griz living and working here in Spokane, I'd be a rich man. I love my state too, but my entire identity isn't defined by where I live or my favorite team. I get a chuckle every time I see someone wearing a piece of Griz clothing when I travel. It's like they're saying "Hey, look at me. I'm from someplace so cool I had to leave. If you're from there too, come talk to me so we can validate each others' coolness."

Or...they could be traveling like you.

Montana is a great place especially Western Montana but the wages in Montana are awful and its getting expensive to live here. I guess most people that you see over in Spokane would rather make more money living over in a sh!thole than not making that much money and living in Montana.

Don't worry, if I were from Cheney (or Godforfuckingbid I'd been forced to ATTEND EWU) I wouldn't wear EWU gear either. :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:

You quoted the wrong guy.....I wouldn't want this crybaby to be associated with a common sense post.

Sorry I offended. I think it's great that Griz fans can get together in Scottsdale, or anywhere else to support their team. I know too that there are great people and hospitality everywhere. Maybe I've had experiences that are out of the ordinary or that I see things not as they really are. I apologize.

I was in an airport the other week and I saw a guy wearing a shirt that said 'Louisiana Purchase' on it. I couldn't help but think about what a stupid j.o. he'd have be, if he was from anywhere within the borders of that bungle of an acquisition.

Everyting from the top of the contenental divide east drains east, and the prevailing winds move easterly as well.

That includes all my piss, shit, and farts.

No apologies. You didn't offend, you gave me a chuckle that you don't get it.

It's a special place that breeds a lot of pride and that's as simple as it can be explained.

Did you know that the party at Dukes is one of over 150 "satellite parties" held in every state in the union on Griz/Cat? There are bars in Seattle, Sacramento, Las Vegas, LA, NJ, AZ, and many other places that make that their feature game on that Saturday because of the large and thirsty crowds it brings in.

There is also one in Spokane and I'll be sure to get you a link for the location in a couple of weeks so that you may at least experience what it's like even if it's from an outsiders perspective. :thumb:

You aren't a part of it but you can at least go see what it would be like if you were.

Well said, Ursus!

The Gulf is fine. No oil found in fish/shell fish. It was a big hoopla about nothing.

No big deal blazer...of you think people have pride being from Montana then you should see the people I grew up with from Butte, Montana..or Butte, America etc. Talk about proud of where you came from....people don't understand the pride, you just have it and those who piss on you get their teeth knocked out....
