UND I take is having a down year. I know next to nothing about their program but that will change very shortly.
If they played Idaho St this year who would win?

I watched UND play SUU on FCS TV. SUU dominated the whole game and won easy. I think if the game were in Poatello Idaho State would win. Look how well ISU played Weber and MSU.

suu is good though, no reason to assume even weber would beat suu this year.

I didn't assume that at all! Let alone Weber, I think EWU will have its hands full against SUU in 2 weeks.

Never been there personally. North Dakota beat them in Holt two years ago. Have watched several ISU games the past two seasons. Not saying North Dakota is currently light years ahead of ISU (we are struggling right now) just confident that ND would win.

Earlier in the season, I'd say UND. Right now, I'd give a slight edge to ISU.

I think it woud be a good game. Idaho State lost to Weber by 3 and to Montana State in OT. ISU is the best 1-7 teams in the country, serious.

Here is the way I see it...
On Neutral ground - UND
At the Alerus center - UND
At Holt arena - ISU

I'm starting to feel a little insecure...............
I must ask.......what is the point of this thread? I ask because with all due respect to Idaho St. (a program that I've singled out as one that I'd like North Dakota to be associated with along with the rest of the charter Big Sky members since our move to DI), do Big Sky fans have the opinion that ISU and North Dakota are generally peers on the gridiron?
They are not.
I like ISU, and I can't figure out why they have been so bad for so long. But North Dakota has been bad for only about a year and half. I admit we are struggling. However this season alone we lost on the road to FBS Northern Illinois by 1. We lost on the road to #13 Cal Poly by 1. Last season we beat #16 Cal Poly, and lost by one score in the defacto Great West title game to UC Davis. In our last years of DII we throttled DI SUU and pulled off an upset against #3 Northern Iowa.
In general, I think this years North Dakota team would be close to a .500 Big Sky team. By our standards, we have a poor team this season, but I'd favor us against NAU, PSU, UNC, and ISU. In 2012 I expect us to realistically be a top 3 Big Sky team.

I think we are just giving you a little crap, (welcome to the Big Sky) dont take it to personal, I dont really know much about your team right now so I cant say where you fit in. We played USD last year and the year before and they will definitely be able to compete with the bulk of the BSC. I think that saying that you would be favored against NAU, PSU UNC and even ISU in 2012 is showing a lot of confidence in you team. Maybe there is reason and maybe not I really dont know. UNC has had a hard go in the BSC, they have lost a lot of close games but cant seem to get over the hump, but dont take that to think that they are a pushover. the BSC is a grueling schedule and you will have to come to play every week, there wont be any easy games, even ISU will try their best to trip up a team not ready to play (check MSU & WSU this year and um last year)

Bincitysioux - I think you guys will transition into the BSC really smoothly, unlike and unfortunately what has happened to NC (although I still have a lot of faith in them). I really don't think many people are concerned that UND will flop by any means.
In my predictions, as you can see above, the only thing you have to worry about is Holt arena. And, I am not referring to the noise

I've been mildly surprised by the way that UNC has struggled since moving to DI. They were normally one of the top 3 teams in our old DII conference, which was widely regarded as the top conference in DII. I hope they can get things back on track.

Hey with S. Dakota coming in, there will be two milking barns to play Big Sky games in.

Well, you forgot to mention UND was blown out by Idaho (45-0), also, I don't know where you came up with "lost on the road to FBS Northern Illinois by 1." when you lost by 6. You lost to USD, SUU and Cal Poly. BTW, what your team did last year has nothing to do with this season...I seriously doubt you'd be favored against #19 GPI NAU
