The SME Network has once again started our bracket projections. Each year at the end of week 6 we start to project the field as if the season were to end today. We will be posting our brackets every Tuesday night for fans to view.
Have something to say about it. E-mail the show at

Ok not that i think the Big Sky Conf. Is the best in the land, because it is not. But the Big Sky is Strong this year. Its not a bunch of weak teams. EWU has disappointed. But MSU who was a possible top 25, cant seem to get wins and they still have the UM and EWU matchups coming up. OUCH. Weber State beat montana when montana was playing bad. But they are a TEAM a great O and some good D. I see them making themselfs known in the playoffs. Then you have NAU a offence putting up a ton and a defence who have held 2 teams to negitave rushing yards!!! ya NEGITAVE. I think they are for real too. The sad thing is with these three top teams UM,WBS and NAU in it. It looks as only two might get in the playoffs. but all three deserve a shot!!! Remeber all you big sky haters that BSC teams always are known for upsets in the playoffs. So taking all this in.... i would like to see Montana with a four seed most likley, Weber State going and playing a cal poly maybe???? AND NAU playing Woffard at some time in the playoffs. That D is good, lets see what they can do for the Unstoppable OPTION attack.
Just wondering if you agree?

If MT were to beat NAU and NAU beat Weber St. and the teams hold course other than that and keep up the winning then this would be a year that I would think the BSC would get a three teamer in the playoffs and man would that make for some interesting 1st round games.

I hate the "my conference is better than your conference" arguments. To me, the only thing that matters is if the conference is strong enough to get multiple playoff bids. The Big Sky is one of those conferences and I would not be shocked to see three Big Sky teams in the playoffs this year.

Ralph only sees the Valley getting one bid. It might end up that way, but it is a bit of a shock to the system.
