Yup. Congrats, Georgia Southern.
Your defensive gameplan was awesome. Y'all were very aggressive... and in our backfield all day.
Really sucks to have the SoCon streak end... but, we can still win the title if we pull it together next week. Huge game in Boone. Can't wait.

Our defense didn't forget the 700+ yards that you put on us last year. Wow. Those guys were lights out all day.

The SoCon must have the worst refs on the planet - they sucked on both sides, but it was ridiculous at times.
I'm really worried now given that we have an experienced triple option next week. App could lose 3 straight..........

The SoCon refs hate both of us. If there was a way to make both of us lose they'd do it.

No way to blame this on officials. We were out played and out coached. Sorry if I rankle some out there, but ASU has put up big numbers against weak teams and developed a false sense of invinceability. GSU puts quality athletes on the field and evidently their coaching staff knows how to use them. Poor O-line play, unimaginative play calling and poor execution finally caught up with us. Defense was better, but gave up two drives sandwiched around the half that took 30 plays and consumed almost a full quarter. Scored their winning TD with a freshman RB running behind two freshmen O-linemen. I fear our team, some on our staff, and a LOT of our fans have become arrogant and cocky. Hope this wake-up call sinks in. We have really, really good players who are not living up to their potential right now. Someone did put an end to the dunking and flipping, they were wearing Blue & White. Congrats to the Eagles. Your kids played hard, with emotion, and listening to the psot game show with humility and class.

Congrats Eagles. Hate to lose, but it may not be the worst thing to happen to the Mountaineers.
You guys outplayed us, and had a great gameplan. Good luck here on out!

How the hell are you?! Been thinking about you and your crazy bro a lot lately. Tough loss, take care.

Mrs. Ivy and I were at Paulson with our friends Baldy, blueballs and Eaglegus2 (and their equally fanatical spouses) for that epic Eagle win and the "partay" that followed!
Met GreatAppSt and T-Dog as well. First time I've ever seen a #1 team beaten live and in person. Good-natured pandemonium on the field immediately afterwards. Congrats to GSU for the big win! #66 will be terrorizing opposing QBs and O-lines for two more years.

Good post. We've got the talent to go far into the playoffs. Whether we have the intangibles remains to be seen

Heck of a game! After the 1st qtr. I was afraid we were going to see a repeat of last year. I hope everyone from Boone made it home safely.

Congrats GSU. You earned it & hope you win out to make a case for playoffs.
App can either use this game as a catalyst to make ourselves better & realign our focus for this weeks SoCon championship (& subsequent playoffs). Or we can use this as an excuse for the first of 3 straight losses & placing ourselves at the mercy of playoff committee. Guess we'll see what we are made of this weekend......

That was one helluva atmosphere Saturday and a great win for the Eagles.
Ivytalk, it was great seeing you and the Mrs. again and we had a great time with y'all this weekend and hope this becomes an annual event.
To the Appies, you showed class in defeat and none of your big picture goals are out of your reach. In 2000 Furman gave GSU a woodshed beating in Greenville in week 10 to the tune of 45-10 yet GSU regrouped and hung #6 on the pole six weeks later. Your team can do the same.
It was nice meeting T-Dog and seeing our good friend GreatAppSt again.

Holy CRAP. Change NOTHING and this sounds JUST LIKE you're talking about the Montana Grizzlies.
