I'm going to set the over/under on teams listed below Dayton that would ass pound Dayton at 25.

This poll only continues to get worse. I remember when it was at least decent.

Does anyone here actually think GSU wouldn't throttle Dayton? I just don't understand how they are ranked and GSU isn't. Plus BC-U getting first place votes is well stunning say the least, must be some MEAC homerism going on.

Odd. You have a problem with MSU's ONE first place vote, but not EWU's EIGHT? :coffee: :coffee:

At the very least, #23-25 should be replaced wholesale by the top 3 ORV teams. And those whacko first place votes? A sham of a travesty of a sham.

How in the hell is JMU not ranked after knocking off #1/2 W&M?

I haven't paid attention to the polls, but I know that in the game notes JMU @ UR JMU was #22 and UR #20 in whatever the heck poll the game notes was quoting. Now if #22 is @ #20 and IF the polls are correct then #22 should should lose a close one (esp considering that on the road is -4.5). That is exactly what happened-can't get any closer than OT. So logically JMU shouldn't have dropped.

Then if #22 beats #1/2, then #22 logically should be around top 15. Sagarin has it about right with after JMU beating W&M JMU moving up to 14th highest of the I-AA teams.

You want your mind blown even more? After the UR/JMU game, Richmond dropped too!

Well, truth be told, the game was televised and it was difficult to watch. :twocents:

20. Jacksonville Dolphins 10-1 983 22
21. Liberty Flames 7-3 902 12
22. Lehigh Mountain Hawks 8-2 608 NR
23. Cal Poly Mustangs 7-4 338 19
24. Dayton Flyers 10-1 336 NR
25. Grambling State Tigers 8-2

Lets see, JMU has played 8 teams that were ranked at the time and still are:
-Beat ranked Top 15 I-A BCS VT, who is 8-1 in their other 9 games.
-Beat ranked Liberty.
-Beat then #1/2 W&M
-Lost 5 other games to ranked teams by 3 in OT, by 3, but 7, by 7, and by 14.

-Jacksonville  non scholly, has played 1 ranked team, App State, and got crushed. Why are they ranked for beating 10 cupcakes?
-Liberty: JMU already beat, and Liberty just lost to Coastal, the team that gave Towson its only win
-Cal Poly: 6-4 vs Div I. Their resume is probably the best of #20-#25, but doesn't top JMU's.
-Lehigh: Only played 2 ranked teams: Lost to UNH byt 21. JMU lost to UNH by 14. Lost to Nova by 35. JMU lost by 7
-Dayton  Non scholly, Beat one bottom of the top 25 ranked team in Robert Morris. Look at the cupcakes they struggled to beat. Common opponent. Dayton 34, Morhead State 28. JMU 34-Morehead St 0, at the half, 48-0 at the end of the 3rd, 48-7 final.
-Grambling: Lost to a 4-6 WAC team. Didn't, much less beat, a single ranked team.

Any poll that has all those teams in front of JMU is garbage.
