Because the committee doesn't let teams with 6 D-1 wins and teams that lose 2 of their last 3 games in. If they put a 6 D-1 win team in, it will be a team that is on a hot streak with several wins in a row.

I dunno. Depends on what other 6 D-1 teams they are up against. If the committee thinks they can make more $$$ with a home game at UM in round one, they could very well go with UM. Coming in hot or not, UM will sell out and the NCAA will walk away with a truck load of cash. That will definitely get some consideration.

The committee won't care about that (aside from O'Day). Keep in mind that the committee consists entirely of school ADs & does NOT include ANY employee of the NCAA.

The Griz surely, absolutely, definitely, doubtlessly, categorically, unambiguously, unquestionably, positively, [enter word here]-ly will NOT make the playoffs. If they do, it would be a crime 10 times bigger than Montana State's selection in 2006. A crime I would be happy to see, but a crime nonetheless.
