There are four games this week. WIU has a bye week. Make your picks. It looks like a good week for the road teams to me.

NDSU @ Ill State
SIU @ Misery State
SDSU @ Indiana State
UNI @ Youngstown State

I hope not. I had MSU picked as a trap game in the preseason because I thought we'd be drained after playing a ranked YSU at their place.

As a general homer comment I think that we're underrated because we've had to play so vanilla this year while learning a new system from a new coaching staff; going 2-2 against Hampton, N'western, UNI, and NDSU in the first four games while playing only base defense and limited offense was more of an achievement than it appears. The dawgs appear to be gelling now and I think we're a little under the radar.

I think SIU has a good football team. My hoping that they lose is a homer comment from me because it would help out the Panthers in the conference standings.

The Salukis really seem to finally getting the hang of that 3-4 defense that Lennon installed. The offense could use some consistency. They seem to rely more on big plays and short fields after forced turnovers than sustained drives. I think as White gets healthier they will convert more of those third and short plays that will help them to sustain drives.

Ditto. The Poppers finally convinced me that they're for real in the yuck column this year.

Of course, just as I hope you soften up WIU before they come to C'dale.

I have been looking at this week and think I got a handle on it.

NDSU doesn't right the ship quite yet.
SIU puts up a big number
SDSU does right the ship
YSU, for some odd reason, catches UNI with their pants down and pulls another upset out of their collective asses.

We should get so lucky.

I think he was referring to YSU pulling the upset.

And that is what I said. I do think YSU wins this game this weekend.

Under Coach Farley the Panthers have YSU's number at the Penguin pond. UNI by 10.

I'm not sure griz realizes that my avatar is a picture of a Saluki. He seems to be suffering from the illusion that I am a Penguin fan.
