Maybe. It's equally likely that the winner of Wofford - GSU will face the best defense they have seen all year.
Nova isn't ranked above 4 or 5 in the CAA for defense are they? Even with that I bet App is gonna have trouble moving on them and Nova is gonna find moving the ball easier than they have all year.

GSU has a nice offense but it can be stopped. Saw u guys in action this year and u looked pretty damn good. but not the best offense delaware will see. GSU lent credence to that against W&M and IMO App. State will also do it tomorrow against Nova.

You're really that confident with GSU beating W&M 31-15 with the game not even being that close? And you'd be confident against Wofford should they topple GSU?SunCoastBlueHen wrote:Delaware WILL beat whichever team wins in the SoCon battle tomorrow...youngterrier wrote:both teams look like 2 mules fighting for a turnip....not too impressive

do CAA teams even play option teams? that's what gives the advantage to the SoCon school IMO, W&M was clueless and I wouldn't be surprised if Delaware is not necessarily the defensive juggernaut it was all season when playing the SoCon team, ESPECIALLY if it's a friday night game next weekSeattleGriz wrote:Might not be the most potent, but the most different. I'm not sure what you were watching that makes you think that but both GSU and Wofford run well anyway. I don't think they would run as well as you think on these defenses but that don't mean they wouldn't win.youngterrier wrote:I'm going to agree with pwns....those offense played pretty bad, granted defense played well but I think GSU/ Wofford could run on them pretty wellUrsus A. Take the Montana game. People always say the stupid shit that the Terriers couldn't be stopped. They were held to less points and less yardage than in all but one other game that year I think. So your running wasn't as good as everyone talks about but that's all people hang on because of a missed field goal.
It was Wofford's defense that was the difference in that game. They also held us to less than we usually scored.

If the Wofford/GSU offense can make the UD defense look bad then UD will struggle.

Didn't W&M say the same thing? When was the last time Delaware played an option team? Navy? Wofford in '03 ?SunCoastBlueHen wrote:Delaware is vulnerable to a team that can throw a little bit...Pwns wrote:

Delaware has played Navy a lot recently, so yes, we're pretty familiar with what the triple option looks like.youngterrier wrote:do CAA teams even play option teams? that's what gives the advantage to the SoCon school IMO, W&M was clueless and I wouldn't be surprised if Delaware is not necessarily the defensive juggernaut it was all season when playing the SoCon team, ESPECIALLY if it's a friday night game next weekSeattleGriz wrote:

Don't let the W&M game fool you - JMU had already exposed W&M as being unable to stop a team that just wanted to run the football - and heck, JMU's offense was light years behind GSU's. There wasn't anything shocking about that game. W&M just couldn't stop good running games. UD's much better equipped to stop them.

Navy, last year. And the year before that. URI ran it as well. With so many seniors on defense, we have plenty of people that have played against it, and actually, considering how good Navy's been, we've seen better executed versions of it.youngterrier wrote:Didn't W&M say the same thing? The Hens won both of those games. I think Wofford only scored 3 points on the Hens. Is that what you are hanging your hat on?youngterrier wrote:Didn't W&M say the same thing? When was the last time Delaware played an option team? Navy? Wofford in '03 ?SunCoastBlueHen wrote:

Re: Official UNH @ Delaware Game Thread
I'll be honest, IF GSU wins against us tomorrow I like them to beat UD more than Wofford, just because they match up better defensively. With that being said, Wofford played Chattanooga, a team that play-calling is similar to UD I think, to season lows in scoring and yardage. I just have a hard time believing Delaware will be good enough defensively to shut down an option attack.
