Sometimes the nitwits at the NCAA get things right. Thanks to the expansion, my team, who was 4-4 just over a month ago is now one of the last 8 teams standing and has a shot at getting to the big game.

I think GA Southern would have been in in a 16 team field too.

Coastal, Robert Morris, SC State and ND State are probably the teams who wouldnt have been in.

But would they have been one of the first 8 AL teams getting in? Not real sure NDSU probably would have gotten in first by virtue of their FBS win, and maybe SCSU, too.

Outside of that FBS win, NDSU had no real quality wins. I highly doubt SCSU would have gotten in ahead of GA Southern, as it stands now, SCSU was likely the 20th team in, cant imagine they would have been the 16th in in a smaller field.

If we were still at 16 teams I would hope that the selection committee would have had the wisdom and stones to not put 2 OVC and 2 Meac teams in the playoffs. I have no problem with extra teams from the SoCon. I also thought that Umass and JMU were better than some of the teams picked.

I'm appalled that Jacksonville and Dayton didn't both earn first round byes. GSU should have never gotten in above those two powerhouses.
