Good matchup vs championship

All the discussions of bowl games vs a championship game got me to thinking. Do you watch games for the anticipation of a good matchup or to see who will hoist a trophy? I like to watch both FCS and FBS games depending on the two teams playing. It doesn't really matter to me who wins the trophy unless the Griz are playing. I will pick the best matchup that promises a Boise St./Nevada type game rather then an FCS game if it is going to be blow out.

For me it is not totally about the "National Championship". It is about an exciting and well played football game. Maybe that is why I don't critisize the "bowl" games so much. Some of them are great matchups and some aren't. It doesn't really matter to me how much the game pays out or how prestigious the game is. The same with the FCS championship. Some of the semi's are better then the championship and garner my attention more.

I'd be shocked if anyone said they watch the Orange Bowl to see the trophy. It all depends on the teams playing. PennSt and Florida are bad this year, but I will still most likely watch that game because of it being two big name schools who seem to be about equal this year.

I can't wait to watch Nebraska and Washington play...again. :ohno:

FCS playoffs first. Match up second. Trophies 3rd.
