So Montana is going to play an FBS and a DII? Beating Tennessee will be tough, going 7-2 in your other games won't be easy. NDSU pays a premium to bring in FCS teams for a something like $125-150k, why don't the Griz do the same. You gotta be clearing at least $125k more per home game than we do.

September is tough, but look at November. Plenty of time to heal and work the kinks out with a DII team, a week off, MSU, a week off, then the second round of the playoffs.

We should at the very least, be fully healthy.

November isn't going to matter much if you choke in September. :twocents:

You wish dback. I can guarantee the atmosphere alone with carry the Griz over CP and EWU. The fans are angry and now realize what we had all those years.

Don't make me bust out the stadium photos.

QB is a concern, but it's the only big one at the moment. The Griz have enough talent to go RB by committee if necessary and the other positions didn't lose much. The only other concern I have is who to replace Breske with if he gets the NoCo job.

I agree that an FCS would be better than a DII, but why is that strange? 1 FCS, 1 FBS, and 1 DII is a pretty standard schedule for an FCS team.

Because Montana isn't used to scheduling itself out of the playoffs before they even begin.

Montana isn't your standard FCS team. You pack your stadium and I'd think your AD would use that as an advantage and pay the extra money to get an FCS team instead of a lower divisional team that doesn't even count for anything that matters.

You'd think, but you're not an AD. Montana will pack the house and make 25K x whatever the ticket price is, regardless.

Yes we all want better teams, but that won't happen until App State comes to town.

so how crappy are you gonna feel when your star players break ankles/feet w/e playing a D2 team that doesnt even count.

Pretty crappy. Let's hope it doesn't come to that Debbie Downer. :D
