StonyBrook 2011 Schedule Released

Post by Seawolf97 »

StonyBrook has released their 2011 schedule this afternoon. We open with back to back FBS opponents.

9/3 At UTEP in the Sun Bowl
9/10 At Buffalo
9/17 Brown -StonyBrook
9/24 Lafayette -StonyBrook -Homecoming
10/8 Presbyterian-StonyBrook
10/15 St. Anselms -StonyBrook
10/22 At VMI
10/29 Coastal Carolina -StonyBrook
11/5 At Charleston Southern
11/12 At Gardner-Webb
11/19 Liberty -StonyBrook
Other than St Anselms a pretty solid schedule with a bye week on 10/1 and six homegames.

NOT happy with the non-D1. What was the problem here? We never used to schedule like this....

Loving UTEP and Buffalo though. I sincerely believe we have a chance to take one of them, and make a decent showing in the other.

Ouch. That leaves 8 FCS games. SB will essentially have to run the table to make the playoffs. :|

Nah, just win 5 games in the Big South, plus the tie-breaker...

Next years tie breaker in the Big South is based on points for and against, average mean temperature on the East Coast, wind velocity at all games and the GDP. So we have chance again!
