Honestly, I think he's both. He can be completely biased (or bias?), but he knows his football. Seems as if he is reminded every once in a while, perhaps as a memo on his paycheck, that he is paid to service the BCS conferences and he'll toot that horn as such. Although he's not nearly as much of a BCS blowhard as Mark Mays.

Well he's no Lee Corso. But I loved him in Silver Spoons.

He is exactly right. '01 Miami was a BEAST. Best college football team of all time. Just look through the roster, its crazy how many 1st round draft picks they had. Willis McGahee, Andre Johnson, Antrel Rolle, Ken Dorsey, Ed Reed, Clinton Portis, Frank Gore and Jeremy Shockey just to name a FEW. Its not even close.
