Well, this has been a big deal ever since SDSU made the jump, with those jokers down south talking as much trash on SDSU overall as they could when the jump was made, and then to thumping their chests about how they are better than SDSU now. Everyone hopes that the hate will be toned down after the hiatus from playing each other, but its not going to. Security will have to be on their toes for this one.

Not sure what Lakes is going on about. This is a conference game, so how is that caving?

With the admittance of USD into the MVFC the Big 3 great college football programs in the Dakotas are reunited. NDSU resumed competition with them this year and SDSU is now on tap to complete the round robin between these old rivals.

These three schools, NDSU, SDSU, USD, have all made their mark in the FCS and rightfully so will compete year in and year out for the de facto title of Best Football Team in the Dakotas.

They should have this game played every Oct 15 or 16 , whenever pheasant opener is.

What mark has USD made on FCS except for losing to start up Lamar and getting destroyed by UNI.

USD beat the Gophers, SDSU made the playoffs first year eligible and NDSU has made its mark on the FBS and dabbled in the playoffs last year.

And that is pretty much the only thing that they did well since the jump. They haven't done anything besides beat a terrible FBS team except for get kicked around by any decent FCS teams they play.

Beating MInnesota is a claim to fame and besides they are in the MVFC. The Big 3 Dakota Schools are all in the MVFC. Its a natural round robin and always sets up a title game for Best Football Team in the Dakotas.

The MVFC is a premier institution and having all 3 Big Contenders together again is a great chance for the Dakota Territories to celebrate a de-facto Dakota Territory Football Championship.

I dont think any other Dakota schools that arent in the same conference as the Big 3 can ever be included in the round robin. It just wouldnt be right.

As a fan of NDSU, the currant Dakota Territory College Football Champions, I want to encourage you to work on your feelings and try to form positive thoughts about this new beginning.

Maybe its just me, but when your school holds the Dakota Territory College Football Championship, like NDSU does, there is a responsibility that goes along with that title. Its called the burden of leadership. Everyone at NDSU takes that role seriously and Im sure they feel the same as I do. Work on your feelings about USD Thumper, its time for you to put positive thoughts out there about the Yotes. I think an apology would be a good place to start.

If you think that there is going to be comradarie between USD and SDSU, you are out of your mind. Sure a lot of SDSU fans on here will be nicer to them, but I would put money on the vast majority of both fan bases being anything but brotherly.

Well I sure hope you do your best as good sportsmanship dictates. Im hoping you can stay above the little people and let the team speak for itself. Dont be persumptious or a braggert and try and tolerate the situation. If you need any help check in on the thread, you have friends here that will help.
