Probably a push, really. SDSU's seating area opposite press box side looks a little larger, while the press box/media suites at Roos look a hell of a lot nicer/newer/bigger than SDSU's.

EWU can't touch the SDSU Daktronics display.

Coughlin - it has fans in it.

All things considered, Coughlin.

Awesome state of the art scoreboard.
Brand new End Zone Facility which is not in the picture shown.
More butts in the seats.

EWU

8 Games
51,784 Total Attendance
6,473 Avg. per Game
75% of Capacity

SDSU

5 Games
50,117 Total Attendance
10,023 per Game
100+% of Capacity

EWU had 3 extra games and still only had 1667 more fans for the season. Pretty sad.

Can I jump into this "which stadixm has better attendance" thread?

The view from the top of the home side and the National Championship banner that will hang there trump 10,000 avg. attendance and an extra big vizio. :coffee:

(although hopefully one of those is coming our way soon). ;)

That red turf gives me a headache. I literally could not watch the playoff game they aired there.

Caughlin. The only thing Roos has over it is not having shitty ass grass, but the fact that the turf is red at Roos drops it below the shitty ass grass.

The atmosphere at CAS is pretty damn good too. Probably top 3 or 4 in the league with NDSU, UNI, and sometimes SIU

I can't believe the National Champions of this division play in such a crappy stadium. Half the stadium sits on a parking lot. Good Grief!

To be fair, Villanova's and Richmond's weren't much better...

Lets be honest:

Vistor side:
ROOS-bc CAS' are older and uglier

Home Side:
ROOS-EWU has the luxury suites & boxes

Scoreboard:
CAS- Dak board

Endzones:
PUSH- i personally like the endzone seating better but credit is given to that ugly brick building at CAS.

Surface:
PUSH-i think ROOS' is waaay better but i understand some people dont like it.

ROOS WINS 2-1

SDSU's field is a pasture and EWU's is red. Agreed about the push, both suck.

No track point for SDSU
Atmosphere point for SDSU

3-2 Coughlin over the Red turf

How the fuck does NDSU get a point for Atmosphere & EWU doesnt? When EWU's main rival comes to town ROOS FIELD is electric. WTF are you blind? Check that #1 gameday/atmosphere sig MR. Magoo

Probably because they have a crowd beyond a rivalry game.

THIS IS ABOUT STADIUMS, NOT ATTENDANCE.

Would anyone rave about Happy Valley or Neyland if they averaged 6k per game instead of 100k+? :coffee:

Then why did you continue discussing attendance and atmosphere? Roos sucks, btw.

They both look like high school stadiums. If you are going to show Richmond's stadium at least show the right one. It is small, about 8,700 seats, but it all the amenities of a collegiate stadium.

Unlike some of you, I haven't been to both stadium's so I won't comment on which atmoshpere is better. That being said I've been to many decent restaurants where the atmosphere is top notch and the food underwhelming. I'd much prefer the greasy spoon that delivers the grub. :coffee:

If you took a poll of cs.com members and asked if travel time and expenses were no object which stadium would you rather watch a game in - I'm guessing a majority would pick Roos.

I'm one of the crazy people that voted for EWU.

Perhaps it's because that red turf is growing on me like a debilitating plague that's clouding my judgment, but SDSU's field looks like any other slightly larger high school-ish stadium. I wouldn't have known it was SDSU's unless someone told me. :?

SDSU has a great band, they have a solid tailgating scene and the stadium can rock when their rival comes to town. Their stadium is high schoolish but they do a good job on gameday.
