NAU to change fight song

The school has announced they are going to change their fight song from their current song:

It could be that Im a complete homer but I think Weber State has a great Fightsong with not completely terrible lyrics

I think there was talk recently about retiring this. I'm sure the lyrics were soooo appropriate 70-80 years ago, but....

How often has that happened?

I'm currently in Tempe and all I hear about is the $170MM budget cut for the three universities requested by the Regents. How well does that bode for the future of NAU football? It does not seem to be the highest priority for AZ taxpayers.

And the squeal of the pig will float on the air,

Just spitballing here, but I bet NAU might have seen this particular smack before. Ditto for Stephen F. Austin.
