App should win, but watch out, particularly if Armanti's still hurt. SC State can run & stop the run. The Bulldogs haven't played anyone good lately, but they've won their last three games by a combined score of 143-0. Three straight shutouts is impressive no matter who you're playing.

So, Appy's road is paved to the second round, minimum. Guess that's the reward for 3 straight, huh? App gets a cupcake, JMU gets screwed.

But I'm bitching for JMU, not my team. Get over it.

Yeah, but you're enabling their bitching. Don't be an enabler of childish behavior, man.

You make your own breaks you whiny mofo......if JMU is as dominant as they think they are, they'll get to Chatty.....and App can get upset as easy as the next team.....

Actually this could be a tough game for App. I mean, how are they going to be able to choose between the QB who got 314 yards of total offense and 4 tds, and the QB who has been doing that for 3 years?

Once they figure that decision out though, it shouldn't be too tough. ;)

I believe that the big thing will be that App State may not know the total potential of SC State. When a team wins so dominering as SC State has, it is hard to judge that teams performance really well in certain areas. SC State is a good team, no doubt. Don't take the Delaware U -vs- Delaware State game from last year as a true indicator.

Good defense (#4 nationally vs. #47 for AppSt) by SCSt should keep this one somewhat close.

As much as we all would love to see App go down  , they'll get through another squeaker.

App 32
SCSt 28

If its this close, Richmond takes App down round two. However, if App comes out and blows this up say 45-13 look out Chatty. Thing is, good teams play App close, meaning they can be beaten. Even after the Wofford explosion, Elon played them til the end with a chance. Hopefully, the Grizzz get a shot at them in Chatty, either way they winner of the NC comes out of the 'Western' bracket. App will be denied #4, and if not well dang they probably deserve it.

Well, it would be about time....at the current rate, NCAA needs to move game out west from Chatty just so a Championship team will play in the west..... ;)

I was looking at a list of FCS stadiums, and it really seems like nothing else can handle a game of this size (with the lone exception of Montana). Not only that, but with most of the consistently good teams being on the east coast, it is safer to keep the championship near. I wish there were adequate hotel accommodations for the championship to be held in Boone. THAT would be fun.

This is the biggest mismatch of the playoffs. App will kill em.

The only team I've seen this year (besides JMU, obviously) that can beat App is Cal Poly (ball control that keeps the App offense off the field).

Man, Tom, why such a whiny b!tch, come on man. It's ok...maybe we'll see you guys in Chatty, that would be great for me. Ever since 2000 I've wanted to play the Griz.

He can't help himself...last year he whined about how Montana and Wofford got screwed...this year it's JMU and Weber got screwed...and ASU has a cakewalk to the championship...

Luv ya, Az...but life isn't fair...it's what you make of what's dealt to you...

I'm picking JMU to the finals from one bracket...doesn't matter who they play...

App's offense doesn't need to be on the field very long. I can't find the stat quickly, but over half of our touchdown drives come in less than 2 minutes. App also plays on momentum more than any other team I've EVER seen. This can be a great or a terrible thing. Wofford game=GREAT! JMU game=terrible. I find that we beat ourselves more easily than other teams beat us. If we can keep our heads on straight through the playoffs (and it helps that we'll be at home, which I don't believe is contestable), I think we'll be able to pull through. Fyi - Armanti is healthy, and he was dressed for the Western game in case our backup qb (156 rushing, 3 TD, 158 passing, 1 TD) couldn't come through. Presley was also given the SoCon Offensive Player and Freshman of the Week on Monday. If Armanti gets hurt, we have Presley, Stewart, AND Hillary, so I wouldn't worry about our offense not being on the field for a long amount of time.

I'm talking about the entire half of the bracket, Einstein, not just the first game.

It is absolutely friggin' hilarious to sit back and watch the ASU homers try to legitimize South Carolina State. Remember 11-0 Hampton (they of the #1 seed back a few years ago)? How'd that turn out for them? Remember 10-1 Delaware State last year? Yeah.....how'd that game against Delaware go again? If you guys don't put 50 on them, you'd better start to worry. And if they score more than 10 against you, batten down the hatches.

Hey someone's got to play the patsies (although I remember well our game with A&M a few years back....ouch)......It's unfortunate for JMU that Wofford is one of the few east coast teams not invited to join the CAA as yet or they could have had SC State....
