Defeated by Richmond? Ha. Last year we beat Richmond, and that's when they had Hightower. Sorry about the NIU misprint, but apart from THAT, Southern Illinois is VERY good. I would be worried if I were Northern Iowa (assuming I get it right...). As for the all CAA, it appears that you have the best chance (since there are 5 teams... don't even GET me started on Maine over Liberty/Elon)... but that hasn't been the case for a while. The CAA seems to choke in the playoffs, and I don't think this year will be any different. JMU shouldn't even have the record they have, Villanova should have beaten them. As for Richmond... close wins over Villanova, UMass (kind of), and overtime to William & Mary. I just don't have faith in the CAA to finish out a football season, something that teams from the SoCon have done quite regularly...

You mean ASU has done regularly...who else from the SOCON has done it in, say, the last 6 years?????

Last 6 years? I didn't say anything about the last 6 years. SoCon Championship history: Georgia Southern - 6, App - 3, Marshall - 2, Furman - 1. In 30 years, 12 have been from the SoCon. CAA: Delaware - 1, JMU - 1, UMass - 1. I realize the CAA is young, but with many more teams in the playoffs every year than other conferences, it seems that they would have a much higher success rate.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but both of Marshall's weren't when they were in the SoCon, were they? And were all of GSU's?

Both of Marshall's were while they were still in the SoCon. But only 2 of GSU's have been since they joined. However, Alabama also had 3 national championships while they were in the SoCon, and Georgia Tech had 1.

Sorry, I didn't do my research for Georgia Southern. I thought they had been in the SoCon for a longer amount of time. Regardless, my predictions stand firm, even after more research about all the teams in the playoffs. The only team I would possibly consider changing would be the Weber v. Cal Poly game, but either team would still get beat by Montana.
