#2 Appalachian State vs. Richmond

With Tim Hightower last year, App won 55-35. Our run defense is better this year, although not superb. Our passing defense, on the other hand, is very good. McGree has 10 INTs and we allowed only 176 passing yards vs. SC State. Ward is a similar QB, but has thrown 6 INTs and isn't incredibly mobile. Since the game is in Boone and App seems to be hitting its stride (note: second half of SC State game), I predict that App will win 42-24.

A half of football doesnt mean they are hitting their stride, just means that they needed a wake up call to try and get back in the game. Now i think this will be a great game between two great teams. But i think Richmond will be able to come out on top over App State.

With most teams I would agree with you, but Appalachian works differently. We play with momentum more than any team I've seen before. The last second's TD pass will carry us through the week and into next Saturday. I believe we'll come out of the gate at our strongest this year, and while Richmond may gain some ground, I doubt they ever keep the game close enough for a legitimate threat.
