I received my first AGS warning...

...and for what? If any of you remember reading the quote by the Villanova coach Talley on how JMU's victory over the Griz was a "slam dunk" and how a Villanova win over Montana would be a "slam dunk"? So, after last nights game I posted that I was glad that Talley was a football coach because he is not very goot at predicting "slam dunks"! I got a warning for that? Mod22 said I was posting smack on a discussion board. If it was smack then why did they leave the quote on the discussion board for a week? Unbelievable....

Yeah, I know what you mean. Things are just stupid over there. I quit giving to much of a shit about the site last week with the bans and the other dumb shit. The board has some useful information but it is not much fun read anymore.

LOL - I am finally unbanned. No posting for me, other than I will leave my mark one of the days...go out in style, so to speak...

Asked AGSADMIN about my banning. exchanged emails with him...

My PM: That was a BS banning, and YOU know it, TexasTerror.

That word has been used for years on this board.

And you were too chicken to respond to my contact me requests.

IF you don't want me around, just post a message on the board for all to see, instead of making up infractions to ban those you hate.

His response....

Texas who? Is this more of the CS.com inside knowledge in which they do not know a name of a single moderator and have a misunderstanding of personnel on this board? Sounds familiar.

And no, I was not chicken to respond to your contact requests. From reading your posts on CS.com, it was pretty obvious that you knew why you had received an infraction. Why waste my time with a response, if you were already knowledgable regarding your reasons for a ban.

My response...
I only guess - obviously I was right. And I do know, based on changed posts, that Texas Terror is at least one of the AGSADMIN. Don;t insult me by denying it.

So you never answered my question. Why would a word, a word that shows up on network TV, a word that has been used thousands of times on this board, all of sudden be a bannable offense?

jon, pretty interesting reply from TT...the line that really got me is "From reading your posts on CS.com"...

So they admit to lurking here...why, are they that paranoid???

We're nothing to them...they are the giant, and we're just a little gnat...yet they feel the need to monitor us...

So you never answered my question. Why would a word, a word that shows up on network TV, a word that has been used thousands of times on this board, all of sudden be a bannable offense?
Rampant and improper use, some of which used for personal attacks.

This board is for football first and foremost. Obviously there is much more use here than CS.com because people prefer actual football discussion.

Does improper language have a place on this board? You let me know.
Give me a break. Rampant and improper? Used ONCE by me? Personal Attack? Not even close.

Just admit that you are looking for excuses to ban people you don't like. Be a man about it.

This USED to be a great board, before Ralph went psycho, and installed a bunch of puritans as mods.

It stopped being fun. I have tried to make it fun again. 99% of the board appreciates me. Just a few have their heads up their butts, and are trying to drive away some excellent posters.

So again, why ban me for one use of Vagina, when it has been used thousands of times before?

Oh - and next time you are on cs.com, instead of browsing as a guest, stop in and say hi. We are a friendly bunch.

I got a STRIKE for smacking on the discussion board. in the good old days, when a discussion thread turned to smack, they just moved it to the smack boards. now they hand out demerits.

And if you got your FIRST warning now, you're just not trying hard enough.

I hear you AZ. I guess it took me by surprise. Talley made the comment and the article was part of the discussion board and that was not moved to smack. Who should get the warning?

Confederate "Gray House"
Richmond, VA

It is hearby declared and ordained that the poster known as "putter" is made an honorary citizen of The Confederate States of America for receiving his first strike on the board known as "the late ags". It is the hope of all who are true to THE CAUSE that this is the first in a series.

by my hand this 3rd day of January in the 144th year of occupation by the oppressor.

Thank you citdog,

I accept your bequest with honor, as a northerner who was born in Ft. Knox Kentucky, I feel like a new person having popped my AGS warning cherry.

Stuff like this is why my posting at AGS is way down, I've never seen a sports message board take itself so seriously.

Yeah I got it after the bannings talking about the bannings, and the lunacy of being banned over a vagina. What was it the heman women haters club. Get a clue alralfa.

If we had the time and could be arsed to care, this would make a good contest: try to get banned over at the Old Country but without breaking any rules, and the most ridiculous ban justification comment wins.

Think several of us have already won that...

...my last ban was until Dec. 25th...attempted to log in sometime around the 27th and found a message that I had been "Banned until January 6th because you have stated you no longer wish to be a member."

...

Now...unless the Mods at AGS are coming over to CS.com to read our posts, then...

I think I read where Ursus, AZGriz or Appaholic mentioned they got the same type of message.

Dunno what fv(knut is pulling the strings over there now...but the SOB needs to get back on his meds. Reality is, you can't kick your customers in the nuts and expect them to keep coming back...CS.com is a good message board with a great owner, and a whole lot of good things coming up in the future.

I thought that place had been really dull lately, but wrote it off to the season being over.

Now I know why. All the heat left the building, and it's just cold bricks sitting on a slab over there now.

Thanks Appaholic, for the info.
