I think Cubed has it. It looks like the Wildcat's hand wrapped around a football, suspiciously taken off the main bad logo.
SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.
"What I'm saying is: You might have taken care of your wolf problem, but everyone around town is going to think of you as the crazy son of a bitch who bought land mines to get rid of wolves."
Upsetblog is a blog made by 2 wsu grads that arent even wsu fans and probab have never been to a wsu game nor fcs fans. at least this is my conclusion after researching the site and its twitter feed.
the paw as stated is just a piece of the official school logo.
also the below is an unofficial school logo as well, it is a logo the bookstore made and sells on apparel as an alternative to official merchandise. i like it, just not official logo.
personally i hope they don't change the logo. nothing wrong with consistency or being proud of your own colors/logo withou changing it every 10 yrs.
they referenced a change in the old uni to the new one in 2010 not the logo. wsu got new road uni's in 2008 but didnt get the matching new home uni until 2010. this is how a shoe string budge operates. so prior to last season the 'cats wore all purple at home but now all black but purple helmet. yes, i just said purple helmet.
the uniform color of black just is popular with wsu sports right now i guess because the basketball team also wears black on the road since 2009. old school wsu fans like myself are only fans of purple/white uni's.
Ryan: I seem to remember a W helmet logo from the early '90s that seemed really cool. I'm not sure if what you posted is it, but that looks doable, too. I'm not a fan of purple, but that's mostly a reaction to the combo of purple and gold at our cross-town rival high school. You guys seem to pull it off pretty well with the purple and white. Being old school doesn't help matters any. For both baseball and football, I'd love to go back to old-school style unis.

Its Weber's old logo that they had on thier helmets during the Jamie Martin years, Dave Arslanian Used to call it the "GO W"
I really like the Wildcat in the shield logo, but I think they need to remove the words Weber State from it when its on the helmet. however, I think it would be cool if the "Go W" made a new appearence on the current football helmet.
