What Does the Big Sky Do About ISU and UNC?

In the past three years, these two teams have COMBINED for just 9 wins. That's 9 wins in six seasons...and three of those are against EACH OTHER and two ore are against D-II schools....That means only FOUR meaningful wins in 6 combined seasons....
ISU's wins are against:
2006 - Fort Lewis, UNC
2007 - Southern Oregon, UNC, Portland State
2008 - Sacramento State
UNC's wins are against:
2006 - Texas State
2007 - Montana State
2008 - Idaho State
Until THESE teams become more competitive, the arguments about relative conference strength are going to continue....so, how do these schools DO it? What do they need to do to at least present a challenge on a yearly basis?

Well UNC kinda has an excuse. They are still relatively new in the 1-AA ranks and had to make the jump into the big and competitive big sky conference rather quickly. Even though this years record doesnt show it they have made leaps and bounds i think. ISU...has no excuse
. They also should go back to their orange Jerseys, those were alot cooler then the black ones.

i think UNC is on the right course. it all starts with recruting. get high schools seniors to go to their schools and BUILD from there. sure the kids at UNC might not win while they are their but getting students for four years (or five) will only help the program! ISU on the other hand wants to win NOW and is trying the JC route (not good in the long run).the kids that come only want to play and did not pick their school in the first place. they not put the hard work in trying to improve the whole program over a four year spam.

Agree that UNC and ISU are two different animals. UNC almost won several more games this year. They should be a decent team next.
ISU - they need to blow up the barn and start over. Really sad, to see a former NC winner do so badly.

Now we're gettin' somewhere. Ship out ISU and UNC, bring in Cal Poly and UC-Davis. Now THAT I'd like to see...
A conference where the teams are
Montana
Cal Poly
Weber
EWU
Montana State
UC-Davis
NAU
PSU
Sac State
Jesus. In this scenario, I'm not sure NAU, PSU or Sac State wins a GAME except against each other!
que superhornet to point out that Sac State beat UCDavis this year....

NAU will go 4-4 against any Big Sky line-up, regardless of talent on either team. It's in the rules.

I think you may be right. They'll beat MSU, UC-Davis, PSU and Sac State in this lineup, every year.

Go blow a lizard, desert dust breath. The only thing separating NAU and PSU from the Griz's greasy butthole, is money for recruiting, Alum that can learn to keep their "recruit locals" mouths shut, and a more intense S&C program. Both NAU and PSU (who, with a "fair" team beat EWU this year), can stuff it up the Griz's poop chute on any given day.
Oh, and BTW...PSU just hosted 18 recruits from TX right before Xmas break...some already have top 25 FCS offers in hand. Laugh it up AZGriz...dback and I will enjoy having you stand on a table at Gordon Biersch praising the Ljacks and Vikings.

You can invite the whole 18-21 Texas Jail system to play for your team. That does not count.

I've got a better shot at winning the powerball lottery than that EVER happening.

well hell-fire! why don't you do the CAA thing and add them to what you have already? That way, you could play SacSt, PSU, Davis, ISU and UNC plus your rivalry game with Montana State, and call your self the conference champ! AUTOMATIC AUTO-BID!

The only shorts you could wear that would keep your azz out of jail at Biersch might be...
...hell, those might even get you a couple of phone numbers from the flyz.

...I gotta run an errand, then plan on sitting down this eve. with some bourbon and doing some smack. Just feel in the mood, night before the game and all...
Any Spider fans who are not too ashamed to show their faces for having such a lame mascot...

Quite the contrary, they were a Christmas present from her several years ago....I've worn them the night of each playoff game, and will be proudly sporting them tomorrow night. They're my good luck drawas...
And did you just call out Richmond Fan? Do they even exist?
