Serious question. Wonder what the concensus is for Towson wins this season - football, that is.

Towson has as much chance of a winning record as one of my kids not getting involved in a pre-marriage pregnancy

Towson should beat Colgate and Morgan State this season. Throw in at least one conference win this season and you've got three. I agree with the poster above who said "4ish."

I'll go for a solid 3-8.
Just out of curiousity why start a thread on TU's record of all teams? Do people just like car wrecks?

Should beat Colgate? The Raiders are going to pretty darn good this year with Eachus literally running the show. They were picked a close second to Lehigh in the PL and have received some Top 25 pub. Towson is definitely the underdog in this game

Colgate, while beautifully suited to run the ball 700 times this season, could not beat Furman last year. I'm calling push(ish).

I'm putting the line at 3.5.

Assume the program is going to improve at some point, and wondering if we might see an inkling of that this season.

Yes.
I would venture 4ish wins.

So you're taking the 'over'?

I really can't see more than 2-3 wins given this schedule. A loss to MSU could set up an O'fer.
Sat, Sept 3 vs Morgan State 7:00 PM ET Tickets
Sat, Sept 10 vs Villanova 7:00 PM ET Tickets
Sat, Sept 24 vs Colgate 7:00 PM ET Tickets
Sat, Oct 1 @ Maryland TBD Tickets
Sat, Oct 8 vs Richmond 7:30 PM ET Tickets
Sat, Oct 15 @ Old Dominion 3:30 PM ET Tickets
Sat, Oct 22 @ William & Mary 3:30 PM ET Tickets
Sat, Oct 29 vs Delaware 6:00 PM ET Tickets
Sat, Nov 5 @ Maine 1:00 PM ET Tickets
Sat, Nov 12 vs New Hampshire TBD Tickets
Sat, Nov 19 @ Rhode Island 12:30 PM ET

If I see improvements, I'll accept a 4-7 record this year. The team is still sophomores and juniors, with Ambrose's first real recuiting classes being true and redshirt freshman in 2011.
2009 we were blown out in 8 games, and I mean BLOWN out.
2010 improvements were made, although the record doesn't show it. Only 4 blow outs. We were in a lot of games late.
The defense will be dramatically improved with a couple key late transfers. If the o-line can keep the offense on the field. I can't see any reason why 4 wins would be out of the question.

Wow. May start 1-2 or 2-1 but then it's a massacre after that. Unfortunately, they play in the CAA so it's a tough road. Can they possibly have consecutive seasons with no CAA wins? I guess so.

Too many ODU (an other CAA) fans have crowned ODU as the easy victor over Towson in this year's game.
I believe Towson will be fired up for this game, as we should be closer to their level of competition than the top-tier CAA squads.
There is not any CAA game that is a walkover, and I am reserving any "easy-win" predictions until we play a full CAA slate.
While I would not be surprised to see ODU beat a Villanova or UR this year, I would be as equally unsurprised if Towson gave us a surprise "L" when they visit Norfolk.......

Having grown up nearby(Edgewood sr. High-class of 1983) I have a soft spot for the tigers. I can see 4 wins this year if they can pull one big upset along the line.

I agree....in fact, I almost put ODU in the win column for Towson.

Towson lost to Columbia last year, and Colgate is quite a bit better than Columbia. Towson may beat Colgate, but I doubt they will be the favorite.

31-10 middle of the 4th quarter.
Towson beating a top 25 team, will any respect be shown on Monday? Doubt it. Too many Blue hen fans voting.
