Well, the Richmond players can go one of two ways from this. Disorder, or rally around the new coach.
It will be interesting to see which way they respond.
Good luck, Richmond fans.

Down came the rain and washed the spider out.
Sorry for the corny joke, couldn't resist. Best of luck to Richmond... can't be easy losing a coach a week and a half before the season...

Apparently, the new guy has leadership in the genes.
As a VA QB, he played in three straight minor bowls. And check this out about his family, which is apparently pretty prominent in VA:
Official Richmond Bio wrote:His father, Norman, is the long-time coach at Radford High and is a member of the Virginia High School Coaches Association Hall of Fame. Wayne played prep football for his father, earning All-District honors as a quarterback.
His brother Robert is the athletic director at Radford University, his brother Mark is the superintendent of schools in Bristol, Va. and his brother Paul is the assistant principal at William Byrd High School in Vinton, Va.
And did you guys see the Director of Football Operations?

That person doesn't look like it's packing. And shouldn't superhorney say I'd let it hit me?

Mr. Scott was extremely fortunate to get the UR job with one DUI (and most us us here can admit we could have received one of these during our time), but to get a 2nd with such an opportunity is a lifetime-defining mistake.
While I want the beat the Ticks in every sport we compete, those kids deserve better than a coach with no self-control.
I hope the new coaching staff rallies the kids, and those same kids understand how a singular poor decision can define your careers and your reputations.

The situation completely turns my stomach for Richmond fans and for Latrell Scott. A very bad mistake that deserves serious consequences. I hope he can find answers for his problems, find peace in his life, and in time find gainful employment that he loves.
So much potential destroyed...

The question is: Was he out drinking with the Director of Football Ops & did he score?

Any idea where he was drinking? Was it at a university related event? State Line Liquors, j/k?
I have a lot of respect for UR. But I still have hate for their athletic dept for leaving the CAA high and dry
. (Even though their AD is an ODU alum
)
