Hmm...App drops 1 spot after getting humiliated and Montana drops 3 after a good showing.

Huh? It was 42-16...

Both teams got destroyed. ASU got destroyed a little more, but they played a better team.

A bit surprising Lehigh dropped a spot after a very good first game. All things considered it doesn't matter. Plus, let UNH enter the game as the higher ranked team.

If that's a good showing I'd hate to see a bad showing by Montana.

ACC vs SEC...dummies.

And MSU showed us all how to play, right?

I didn't watch the UM game, so it's possibly I'm missing something. But I don't know if I'd call a 26 point loss a decent showing. But again, I haven't seen the game.

And getting 66 thrown on you deserves first place votes?

I think it has more to do with teams jumping Montana, than the difference between how they did and how App St. did. Sac St had a big win and deserved to jump Montana. One could argue that Richmond beat a poor BCS school, and did not deserve the big jump, or that Lehigh should have beat Monmouth badly as they did and should have stayed put. One could make a case for UNI jumping App St., after losing a nail biter to Iowa State.

The great thing about FCS football is that this will be sorted out on the field.

With the potential emergence of Sac St (I know, just one game), and with Weber being a sleeper in this poll, the Big Sky should be very interesting again this year. It will be very tough for any one team to run the table.

Go Eags!

Montana lost by 26 to a bottom tier SEC team who put up 42 on Montana's bread and butter this year (that Griz defense). App State lost to the top dog in the ACC and a FBS Top 25 team, who knows first hand just how good the upper teams in the FCS can be (losing to JMU last year). I'd say both showings probably even.

I'm not too worried about it. If we win the next two games (Cal poly and EWU), we'll get the recognition we deserve.

lol.

Ole Miss, Kentucky, Vanderbilt, or Tennessee would not win the ACC.

You do realize Tennessee lost to a mediocre ACC team last year, right? :?

The bottom of the SEC couldn't beat Boise at a "home" neutral site. :D

Then again, the best Pac-12 team couldn't beat the best SEC team.

And I am making sure all my co-workers know about that.

I don’t understand why so many people get worked up over the FCS polls. We have a playoff system people, it all works itself out. And imo VT is >>>> Tenn. VT has owned the ACC the last few years.

It was, people who say otherwise either didn't watch the game or are Cat fans
