I cant seem to find a great picture of it, but here is a video of SUU's win over Sacramento State, at the beginning it shows both SUU and CSUS's helmets and SUU's is a brand new look.

SUU's helmet looks to be either black or a dark grey, and they have a light grey logo on it, a logo that is a little different than thier normal one

Not quite sure I like it, I would probably like it more if the logo had its colors

Absolutely. I'm not sure which is worse. Black on black violence, or black on black helmets.

I thought they were badass when I saw them up in Brookings, kinda like a ghost flames on a pickup or car

Like that SUU quarterback. Nice release, throws well on the run, gets yards with his legs. Number 6 is a really nice looking running back.

it is a smooth look, a lot better than the last helmet. ever heard of ghost paint yall? now weber needs a new look, im thinking something like what UGA had aginst boise! except pruple and gray.

I think Cincy is thinking about doing something similar with their helmets.

I think the new look is that SUU is not a loser but a pretty good football team - certainly not a team to overlook.

that is the dumbest helmet idea i have seen in quite a while, and that is saying something.

Hehe this thread might be old and forgotten but I randomly found it while doing a google logo search. The helmet is actually a dark metallic gray color and then the logo is meant to have a "watermark" look to it, being just a lighter shade of gray. When seen right infront of you, it's a great look imho. I have one of the helmet decals on the back of my truck... it's up against black and it looks great. I'll see if I can come up with a better picture of the helmet that has better lighting on it.

The logo is cool, but I think it would look better colored, I have always liked SUU's older look with the black Helmet and the all red uniform outlined in black and white.

The look is definitely unique and to be honest I dont think it looks as bad as many of you guys are saying it does. Granted I was more of a fan of the colored in logo myself, but have to say in person these helmets do look pretty bad ass and add I think are a good change in regards to our new uniforms. Also our new unifroms in general I am a big fan of since we no longer look like were mini-Texas Tech, and I think this helmet looks really good with them :

Agreed man, and great pics btw. I was on the sidelines during that beatdown we gave to UNLV last year. Was a great night!

I've seen them in person....my season tickets were 8 rows off the field behind the visitors bench last year.....thought they were terrible. The contrast isn't easier to see in person
