This was part of why I chose NDSU actually.

I REALLY wanted to go to Michigan - but this was what introduced me to NDSU, and started me down my path to going there.

Its a wonderful video. Do they have the video of the press conference when UND quit playing NDSU? Do they have any video of Faison fuming over the contracts to play at NDSU before he tore them up and headed to Bismarck to brag about having the nickel. Is there any video of roger thomas?

If only all the Fargo College almuns hadnt passed away by now we could talk about that great rilvary too!

I love how UND quit the series but you said it once in a post DII teams got penalized by playing up. Plus NDSU wants 6 home games I heard that from numerios Bison posters so wouldn't NDSU quit the series eventually to preserve the 6 home games, and if not why aren't they playing every year now.

You dont make any sense Darell. You are actually speculating on what NDSU would have done if UND wouldnt have quit playing NDSU in all sports including football. You are claiming its ok that UND quit because NDSU would have quit anyway!

UND quit. If you want to play now you have to sign NDSU contracts.

You have taken that quote completely out of context and your point is still a stretch. I think you should be looking at what coach Bohl said after the 10-9 loss to Minnesota. The media were ready to give him the world. Nobody expected NDSU to do that well except NDSU. They expected to win. When offered the moral victory The Great Coach Said:

We dont have moral victories at NDSU. We play the game to win.

Compare that with what UND head coach Chris Mussman said after the loss to University of Sioux Falls, a good NAIA team:

It was a hell of a rivalry! I for one would love to see them renew it, at least to a every other year or something, although that will be tough being in seperate conferences. UND did have a press conference stating they would not be playing us anymore, once we announced we were going D1 though. I would sum up the rivalry like this and I think most Sioux and Bison fans would say the same.......We hated each other, but we respected each other.

I hope this works out because it would be great for both programs. It would probly be the most hyped game in the history of the rivalry. The Dome would be soldout within a week of the tickets going on sale.

I love the video of the rivalry! Except I don't like the ending so much...
