When are we going to start building the 2012 schedules? Many are out, or partially out, but there's no convenient way to track their progress.....inquiring minds want to know....
Montana's 2012 schedule so far:
9/1 at Appalachian State TBD
9/8 OPEN
9/15 OPEN
9/22 Northern Arizona * TBD
9/29 at Eastern Washington * TBD
10/6 at Northern Colorado * TBD
10/13 Southern Utah * TBD
10/20 at North Dakota * TBD
10/27 Idaho State * TBD
11/3 at Weber State * TBD
11/10 South Dakota TBD
11/17 Montana State * TBD
I'd like 9/8 to be a winnable FCS home game (not sure who, since anybody West of the Mississippi is "in conference" now, but) perhaps a UC Davis or a Southland team...then, if they want a money game, make it the 9/15 game.

It doesn't make much sense to talk schedules when the preeminent conference hasn't released the conference slates for 2012 yet.

We are not a conference we are
The Association.
Towson's OOC games next year are Morgan State, Kent State and Louisiana State.

At least Montana gets to play all 3 charter members, Weber doesnt play MSU next year

Its the back end of the home and home we had with them in 2009. We won at UCA 17-16.

Which means, I'm assuming, that you won't play Montana in 2013?

I would love to see Weber play Montana as an OOC game in 2014, but We probably wont have the money to afford bringing you guys here, and 3 straight games in Missoula stinks

I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that the powers that be in the BSC will discourage interconference OOC games (if that makes sense
).

Interestingly enough, on the BSC schedules shown on CSN, the D-II game isn't listed.

Those schedules also show Montana St. still playing Oregon, a game that both schools opted out of, so they aren't entirely up to date.

Full name is the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology (SDSMT). That's a little wordy, so they go with just Mines or Tech, mostly. It's in Rapid City and is actually just now in the process of transitioning from NAIA to DII. Coolest part about Mines is their mascot: the Hardrockers (referring to hardrock mining, not head banging to Metallica).

I'm not so sure that's the case, AZ. I believe UND and Montana are playing a 2013 OOC game in Grand Forks as the back end of the home/home started last year. And for some reason, I could swear that in the scheduling press release for the 2012-2015 conference schedules it was mentioned that this will give schools some leeway to schedule conference teams in OOC games in years they don't play. Of course, I could just be making that up....

From what I read, Oregon wanted to strengthen their schedule by replacing the kittens with an FBS school (they scheduled Fresno St. instead) and the kittens wanted another home game (Stephen F. Austin, apparently). Really, it works out well for both teams.

I truly hope that's the case, since there aren't really any options otherwise.

Back when I was at Rocky Mountain College, they were referred to as "Rapid Tech". We played them in Rapid City and the officials would throw a flag every time we used a cuss word (even the mild ones, not just f-bombs). Their fans at the games certainly made up for it, though.
If I remember correctly, the grandstand was on one side of the field, against the main road. The other side was bare, but they would allow cars to park and watch the game there.
