Montana State. I'd hope a loss to the 7th ranked Grizzlies wouldn't be enough to drop them from #1 to outside the top 5.

I would say the teams up for a seed are:
SHSU
NDSU
GSU
UM
MSU
UNI

I think the Griz will be three, and MSU should be four or five. MSU lost to a top ten team, NDSU lost to Youngstown State. Those losses aren't even comparable.

I cant remember but what Conference may have as many as 5 teams in playoff field, the champion of which beat the 3 other playoff teams from the conference that they played? O Towson thats right...

I like Towson and have A LOT of respect for what they have done this season. But I just don't think they will get a seed. I wish them the best of luck in the playoffs. I don't make the playoff field so my opinion doesn't mean much. ;) And it's just an opinion.

Towson I don't think will get a seed (I like Towson). I think it will be:

1 Sam Houston
2 NDSU
3UM
4 MSU
5 UNI

I'd be surprised if MSU got one.

I'm guessing it'll be Towson, but UNI has a strong case.

Lehigh's loss to New Hampshire probably prevents them from getting a seed. You pretty much need to be unbeaten against FCS to get a seed out of a non-power league.

I'm leaning that route as well. MSU's loss was bad one at bad time.

Whoops, I forgot about Georgia Southern. I'm guessing it's about even between them, UNI, & Towson. If I had to bet, I'd go with Georgia Southern.

edit - never mind, I see Danefan had GSU in there originally. I'm guessing it'll be GSU getting the #4 and Towson & UNI fighting for #5.

1. Sam Houston
2. NDSU/Montana
3. NDSU/Montana
4. Georgia Southern
5. UNI/Towson

Ga Southern will be the #1 or #2 seed. They just shredded the fbs #1 defense for 302 yards rushing.

That doesn't seem too far off. I would agree with this.

You cant have Montana State still getting a seed... not after a 21 point loss.
1. Sam Houston- Has only played one playoff team in Central Ark... but hasnt lost to anyone yet (still close against Texas State)
2. Georgia Southern- Good showing against Alabama, beat Wofford but loss to App State(who could make playoffs)
3. Montana- huge win against #1 MSU(only big win that I see on schedule) and a loss to Sacramento state.. and one of 9 wins is against a D2
4. North Dakota "STATE" - Win against FBS Minn, wins against 2 playoff teams aka North Iowa and Illinois State
5. Towson- Beaten UNH, Maine and ODU as well as beating 6 out of 7 FCS ranked teams it has played, played no D2 wins so all of wins came against FCS Teams, 6 out of the 9 were ranked including two #7s

Not seeded:
Lehigh(non power conference as discussed previously)
Northern Iowa (OT win...)

You are certainly right. That was a major brain freeze on my part. I would put GSU at five instead of UNI

I see 7 teams that could get the 5 seeds. Only real lock is Sam Houston State if they win

Montana 9-2 (8 D-1 Wins)
Big Sky co-champs. Has 7 game winning streak. Beat playoff team Montana State 36-10 on the road. Lost @ Tennessee 42-16 in first game of the year and Lost @ Sacramento State 42-28 in fourth game of the year.

Montana St. 9-2 (8 D-1 Wins)
Big Sky co-champs. Lost @ Utah 27-10 in first game of the season. Loss last game of season to Montana at home 36-10

North Dakota State 10-1 (10 D-1 Wins)
Missouri Valley co-champs. Beat FBS Minnesota on the road 37-24. Beat playoff team Northern Iowa at home 27-19. Lost at home to Youngstown State 27-24 in 10th game of the season.

Northern Iowa 9-2 (9 D-1 Wins)
Missouri Valley co-champs. 3 Game winning streak. Lost @ Iowa State 20-19 in first game of the year. Lost @ NDSU 27-19 in 8th game of the season.

Sam Houston State 10-0 (10 D-1 Wins) Up 17-14 in 3rd Q
Southland Champs. 10 Game winning streak. Beat FBS New Mexico on the road 48-45 in OT. Beat Central Arkansas 31-10 at home.

Towson 9-2 (9 D-1 Wins)
Colonial Athletic Association Champs. 3 Game winning streak. Beat playoff teams Old Dominion in 6th game 39-35 on the road, Maine in 9th game 40-30 on the road, and New Hampshire in 10th game of the season 56-42 at home. Lost @ Maryland 28-3 in 4th game of the year. Lost to Delaware 35-30 at home in 8th game of the season.

Georgia Southern 9-2 (8 D-1 Wins)
Southern champs. Has lost 2 of last 4 games. Lost @ Appalachian State 24-17 in 8th game of the year. Lost @ Alabama 45-21 in last game of the season.

So they still lost and that's all u do is rush the damn ball. We destroyed the #1 team on the road, in a rivalry game for the conference championship. Sorry have you done that? :coffee:
