JMU travels to NDSU, while Wofford travels to UNI.

Two, the bye week was huge for both teams. It gave NDSU a chance to get healthy and gave UNI some time to prepare for Wofford's offense. If both teams didn't have byes my answer would probably be different.

It appears that both UNI and NDSU will not survive this weekend

Guarantee at least one team wins. I have both MVFC teams moving on. Both games will be close.

what makes you fell so good such that you are guaranteeing at least one team winning?

that Wofford rushing attack is very hard to stop

Turkey day somewhat neutralizes the ability of UNI to prepare for the TO

After watching JMU last week, I'm not impressed. It would take an absolute meltdown for NDSU to lose this one. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure they are better than what they played like, but that is what I saw. UNI will have a tough time, but I think they can pull it off as well.

speaking of "meltdowns", how did NDSU do against an unranked Youngstown team at home just 2 weeks ago?

Not sure about that, its not like student athletes leave campus for thanksgiving. I know some NDSU teams had to stay in Fargo to practice.

They didn't give them the entire break off, the team only took a few days off to celebrate the holiday, it's not like this is our first trip around the block. You seem to be forgetting that Mark Farley is one of the FCS's better coaches and you can bet he has spent every minute since the match-up announcement studying that option and how our defense can stop it. There is a reason he is the one of the most successful coaches in UNI's history and currently the winningest coach in the MVFC.

I think that the chances of both winning are less than 50% but it's the most likely of the three outcomes. Barely.

The players got had film/practice Monday, Tuesday Wednesday and had Thursday, Friday, and Saturday off and had a couple hours of film on Sunday.

They didn't take the full week off. Two weeks for UNI's coaches to prepare for the triple option negates the advantages of us not playing it....especially when our coaches are as good at halftime adjustments as they are.

Interesting. My thought is that if one wins, it's most likely NDSU. I don't think UNI stands a chance against Wofford....if they couldn't handle Lehigh last year, I see NO reason for them to handle the oddities of a triple option THIS year.

I still think the bye week is huge for both teams. NDSU is 7-1 coming off a bye in the Bohl Era and we had a number of nagging injuries. We'll get our nose guard back after he had an MCL sprain and he really helps in slowing down a team's interior rush against us. We really struggled vs WIU and YSU with him out.

UNI obviously gets the extra prep, I also think UNI's defense is better this year and their offense is more efficient. They are a different beast than last year.

You weren't there to see AZ's face during the Missoula Encounter when I told him that NDSU just lost, HAHA to Youngstown State. He was so so joyous. Never seen anyone so happy in my life.

I do. To stop the TO you you have to take away the dive - Boothby can take away the dive.
