I didn't see an existing thread for this game (the only one I couldn't find). Did I miss it?
The Bobcats may have been whipped in the trenches by the Griz, but they largely dominated their prior opponents on that front. I don't think UNH's O-Line can do what Montana's did & I'm confident their D-Line can't. Kevin Decker is going to see a lot of pressure & MSU's ground game should dominate.
Here's my assessment of the matchups & my pick for the game:
I agree but I am concerned about the Cats "mental" makeup - between the Griz game and the NDSU game last year, they have to prove that they can play late in the season when it counts. On the flip side, that is a nasty road trip for NH - a lot further than I bet they expected with the historical apporoach to regionalization.
This is a tough game though I was interested to see the selection show showing the cats, they looked like one tired and beaten team. I would imagine things have changed in a week and a half, but this will be a VERY interesting game, how much will the travel affect UNH? Because I'm a west coast guy I hope the bobcats win, but I can definetly see UNH coming in and stealing one. 28-23 MSU
I think the Bobcats will come back motivated and respond well to the dismantling the Griz gave us. But there's no way to account for that on paper, so you end up with a fairly even match that I think the edge goes to MSU for the season's overall results (debateable since the SOS can be debated). If you put more weight on the most recent game as being indicative of MSU then you give the edge to UNH.
The travel would give the edge to MSU, but UNH has shown that they handle the travel well (though I think it still gives MSU an edge). The weather should be nice and have no effect. 5,000 feet isn't enough to cause much of an advantage. UNH has more (and better) playoff experience than us.
IMO picking this game comes down to how you think the Bobcats will respond to the Griz loss (or how much ECB/CAA bias you have ).

Are there bars within walking distance of the field or do I need to wander around until I find some good hearted Montana St fan to feed me beers?
The tailgates are a good time for sure, but Specs is a must at some point on gameday. Dont forget to catch the Christmas Stroll or "Christmas Stumble" downtown after the game. Enjoy Bozeman!

The Bobcat fans are a pretty cool, be sure to stroll through their tailgate area. They were a great bunch to talk to before and even after the game when I was out there for NDSU's game last year.
Found my local sports pub has ESPN3 via internet - the owner made me watch Michigan State all year so going to let me stream to a couple monitors from the laptop. Making everyone in the bar watch the game

Shit, just walk around the tailgate yelling "Go Cats!" and you're sure to get a few free beers. They don't need to know whether your talking about the wild or the bob variety.

...or Fvck the Griz would probably work, as well
There are three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city; and never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body. - Coach Finstock

They'll probably invite you over to do a keg stand with that one

UNH ain't beat shit since they beat their own meat the last couple of years. This is the first game of any significance the wildrats have played since Montana stomped them a new one years ago.
