UNI @ Montana...

UNI didn't exactly overwhelm against Wofford, while UM looked mighty solid against an over-matched Central AR squad. Clearly, UNI is a real step-up in terms of competition from CA, but I just don't see them coming into WA-Griz in mid December and handling the Grizzlies. Thoughts?

Wofford >>>> UCA
But you're right, the Griz should win by 10 or so.

I will give you my opinion AFTER I watch the UNI/Wofford replay.
The Griz D looked really solid today, and with our offense clicking like it is, it will be awfully interesting to see who can come and stump us.
I want a great game! That's all I'm asking for!

They better trade us game tape this time. Farley is a douche. Let's throw batteries at him.

I was going to put up a post on the over/under until the VHS tape comment was made, but I missed out on post #6

I just couldn't hold back. Loved the whole, "he wouldn't trade tapes" by Montana fans, and the subsequent, "they threw batteries at us" reply by UNI fans. Hilarious.

I think the MVC was very strong this year. I think it should've had at least one more team in the tournament and, if the Committee didn't have the informal rule about 7 D-1 wins, perhaps even more than that.
I think this is a tossup. I think Montana better eat their Wheaties and be ready to play.

What's up with the tape exchange thing? Did the UNI coach pull some kind of douchey withhold-the-tape move last time around?
I'd also like to mention that the UNI stadium has to be one of the more un-aesthetic sporting venues in the country...WAY too much exposed concrete. Thank God ESPN viewers will have Wa-Griz to admire, instead of that hellhole!

The fact that the Griz-UNI controversy was known as the "video tape controversy" reminds me that it's been wayyyy too long since the Griz won a national championship

Who knows. I don't think anyone really knows the story, but as it is, apparently Farley wouldn't exchange tapes with Glenn and it just escalated from there.

I have to say, the 2001 UM-UNI semifinal game was one of my favorite games as an adolescent lad.
UNI's closest chance to get any points was a FG that pinged off the right upright, and the self-congratulation by the North Endzone was glorious

Today was pretty funny when the UCA players came out and taunted the NEZ right away...that resulted in 5 false starts down there today.

God that's great. I've been to a lot of college football stadiums in the last few years, and nothing has the consistent personality and notoriety as that group of drunks

For only ~22,000 today it was pretty damn loud. Next week will be a sellout and loud as hell.

Nothing will effect UNI at Wa-Griz. Maybe the noise, but thats a big ass maybe. Just because they play in the dome doesn't mean they can't practice outside. Will simply come down to the better team next friday.
