Montana @ Sam Houston State

It is utter bullshit that THE University of Montana Grizzlies, a marvelous collection of God-like warriors, must suffer the indignation of having to travel to some backwater, tumbleweed town in Texas. This, in itself, is bad enough. But once there, to have to conduct a football clinic on a "field" such as that? I suppose it's minor consolation that the track team will be able to get in some pre-season work while the gladiators from Missoula put on a show of force so unbelievably powerful, so thoroughly omnipotent, so completely dominant, that the Bearkats are left to wonder "what, oh what did we do to incur the wrath of so merciless a foe?"
They remember the Alamo in those parts, but come next Saturday, the mighty Grizzlies of Montana will give the good people of Texas something else to remember, though something they'll try desperately to forget!
Up with Montana, Boys!!

STFU - we've heard all this bullshit before. SAM is not the only game in town down here. There are 19 DI colleges in Texas and guess who gets the bulk of that money and attention. Yeah, it ain't the TSUS system. Try the UT system, the A&M system, the Tech system..... The FCS schools here are an afterthought and have to get scraps from the bottom of the legislative barrel.

BTW - even UT had a track (ever heard of the Texas Relays?) until they did their upgrade about a decade ago. That's when they built their new T&F facility; which is now used for the Relays.

Have I heard of a "Texas Relay"? No, but I'm a pretty open-minded guy that is always looking for something new and interesting to throw into the sexual repertoire...do tell! (feel free to pm me if it's too naughty for general viewing)

I just hope that the success that SHSU is getting will generate excitement around the area. There is no reason that school should not average 10,000 per game and being on ESPN should add to the excitement for the Bearkats...

This will be a much tougher game then previously thought. However, the Cats definitely played flat all game and SHSU took advantage.

Factors of the game:
1. Griz are away from home
2. Finals week for Griz players (SHSU too?)
3. Long travel time

Non-Factors:
1. Weather - It's gonna be in the 50s. Not the 90s with high humidity, there will be no puking as much as the Bearkats want to believe.
2. Altitude - Actually gives the Griz an advantage.
3. Crowd Noise - Crowd was pretty loud while SHSU was on offense, also its going to be around 15,000 so won't be an issue.

Basically, playing in Huntsville doesn't make a real difference. It's going to come down simply to the better team that day, should make for a good football game.

The game was to early for all the frat boys to come out of there drunken comas, but it's okay next weekend I hope it's a packed house for when the Grizz come to Hunts vegas.

Only got to see the first half, but SHSU looks like the real deal to me. I take back anything I said about the Southland this season because I think this game will be a good one

Montana 42
SHSU 35

Ok, now that's getting a little too much of the 100 proof juice in the brain.
I am defending the football team but let's not get carried away even starting to compare a place with an FCS school and a state prison, in BFE Texas, to Las Vegas. That's just wrong on so many levels. :ohno: :ohno:

It's a running joke from a homecoming theme we had a few years ago. I do love telling people I go to a state institution in Huntsville, some people just have to do a double take.

Well yea, you are a dumbass. When Montana usually travels for a big game its to Bozeman. Now its not, its to a real football team outside their "comfort zone". Sober up and stop hating ass- fucker -dude.
Those Montana fellers are in for a real big time!

Finally, perhaps we can find something to agree on...

I wouldn't exactly call Pritchett Field a place fit for a team of Uber-Gladiators like THE Montana Grizzles to demonstrate their superiority...but this is their hand, so to speak.

Should be a good game, and after watching SHSU play the Bobcats, I'm really worried!

Why hasn't anyone said: "This is going to be the toughest team the Griz have played so far!"...Yet?

Because it's an SLC team

And because Idaho State would've dominated the SLC...

Actually, I'm beginning to think JBB is afflicted with the same condition as someone close to me (many of the signs are there), in which case I should probably lay off :?

This is really confusing from a basic grammar standpoint. Perhaps SHSU fans should stick to remembering the Alamo and sucking apple sauce from a straw?

17 posts and you joined 3 weeks ago. Classic bandwagon fan. Will YOU be here to stay when your team gets their ass handed to them? 8-) 8-) 8-)
