Rank the Final Four

One team truly dominated this weekend, and clearly separated itself from the pack...the rest are in a 3-way slapfight for 2nd place.

I've got it like this:

1. Montana
2. Sam Houston State
3. NDSU
4. Georgia Southern

3 &4 are pretty interchangeable...

It is a tough call...GSU offense is very difficult to prepare for--> I am throwing in home field advantage on my rankings

1) SHSU
2) Montana
3) NDSU
4) GSU

and there is not a lot that separates 1 from 4

Before yesterday I would have had SHSU 4th, but after my first opportunity to see them against a good team they impressed mightily. Truth is this is a strong final four, and I won't be shocked if any one of them wins it.

Kudos to the committee for the seedings. When's the last time this happened?

I have to say that the top half of the bracket is the class of the field and the eventual winner is the winner of the UM/SHSU game

1) UM
2) SHSU
3) GS
4) NDSU

Agree with the comments about the seedings having been done very well this year. A really terrific crop for the final 4 that I'm looking forward to seeing.

In particular looking forward to that NDSU/GSU game next week. I think the best remaining defense will be playing the best remaining offense in that one.

1. UM
2. SHSU
3. NDSU
4. GSU

GSU did not look very impressive to me. I think all the remaining teams could beat GSU.

Not very bright.

1. NDSU (TIE)
1. Sam Houston (TIE)
3. GSU
4. Montana

Beating a team that has been overranked all sseason, much like MSU another team Montana beat, is not a measure of greatness. The performance at TN was also poor. UNI didnt have one good win all year and were convincingly beaten in both their big games. The only thing you can say is a good team should beat an inferior team by a large margin and all the winners did that. They are all good, but some not as good as others. Besides winning the BSC has not traditionally been a launching point for an NC. Thats a measure of the conference strength nationally.

UNI should have been coming into THE Washington-Grizzly Stadium undefeated. They lost by one point to perennial Big 12 powerhouse Iowa State (a slayer of giants that would go on to demolish a highly-ranked Oklahoma State juggernaut), and came within one possession of beating a comically over-matched bison squad at "the enclosure". Had NDSU been required to adhere to having only 11 men on the field, this one would have gotten out of hand in rather alarming fashion. In Fargo, however, this quaint "rule of the game" is not even a minor hurdle, and the bison took to the (ridiculous) Fargoturf accompanied by 7 of their best friends! 18 on 11 was too much for even the mighty Panthers of Northern Iowa (but oh-so-barely).
Being man-handled by THE Montana Grizzlies is, of course, nothing to be ashamed of. And I'll probably get myself in hot water with the ever-humble brain-trust in Missoula (a.k.a. the coaching staff), but the careful observer may have noticed that the Grizzlies played 3 1/2 quarters of that football game with only 6 men on the field-the SAME 6 men both ways!!
Oh Montana, You are Marvelous!!!
