Has the date been officially been set yet, I'm assuming it will still be the Friday before Christmas and in Chatty? :)

WHO picked chatt-town to have a div1 NATIONAL championship game? how about somewhere nice like california, vegas or florida? or alternate between unlv's stadium, chatt-town, and some 30,000 seat stadium in florida.

I am pretty sure that Chatty won the bid, but it's been 11 or 12 years now I think and I'm not sure how the site is rebid. There has been some discussion about moving it to Charleston. I have also read where some want to move it to a big 50K stadium which I think would be a disaster. 20K is good and anything over 30K would be asking for a less than half filled stadium most years. I think your suggestion of a rotating site has a lot of merit. And the NC is on Dec 18th this year in Chatty. ;)

It goes out on 2-year bids. Chatty has had the best overall bid.

Charleston wouldn't be bad. And like Chatty, you never have to worry about a Charleston-area team having an unfair home-field advantage in the NC game....

yeah let's do that! And then the stadium will be even emptier than it is in Chattanooga during the non-App years!

Shifting the championship venue is a good idea, the only 'good' thing about div1A. dont blame me if div1AA cant fill a stadium for shit. if it aint Montana, App State, dont look for a sell out in ANY stadium. btw whats the population in chatt-town? 150,000? vegas is about 500,000. maybe even Northern cali, which has no bowls. point is, you cant kidnapp the nc game and hold it hostage in 'dickville' for 20 years straight.

You may or may not have been to Chattanooga BF but you have never been there for a NC game so you don't know what yo are talking about. I've been there for every one that Montana's been in and I wouldn't move it anywhere else. It's always people that have not been to one that have the strong opinions on moving the game. Try it out there once and see if you even know what you're talking about. Chattanooga embraces the game and Vegas, and several other areas with many other things to do instead of this game would not give it this kind of support.

i don't get the shit attitude about Chatty hosting it from people that have never been there and will most likely never go to one no matter where it's at. Most of the guys that bitch about it will only watch the GD thing on TV if at all anyway so WTF do they care where it's played at?

Ursus your opinion is bias. YOU live in a "small town" and a small time state. you are used to and want that "small, down home, billy joe bob, we dont need them movie stars from hollywierd, kind of guy. chattanooga BETTER latch onto that damn NC game like a newborn on a fresh titty if they wanna see that income it brings in. :!:

btw, APP fvcking State is bias too, bc look how close they are to chatt-town, its damn near a home game!

And App St. doesn't make it every year so what is the problem? I assume you would have a stroke if Chattanooga made it to the championship game.

I agree with everything you said there BF. I don't like any of the fake BS of the Hollywood mindset and my favorite thing about the movie stars that buy up shit out here like that as well as they don't get any of the phony bs that usually live with in places like Hollywood. I have spent time in the big cities and don't know how it would serve the NC game at all. You make my point for me in that it is in a place where it is a pretty big deal and they go out of their way to make a good trip out of it for you. Why wouldn't that be appealing to a fan? Our division is not the big time and therefore it should be in a place that it is well respected for the kind of product that it is. It can not compete with the football power houses so why should be hosted in a market where the local people don't care about it/ I gaurantee you that if EWU would have gotten by App. St. and made it to that game then you and/or friends that went would be singing the praises of the town and it's residents. They throw a real good little hootenanny down there and teh Barbeque is FN amazing my friend.

Maybe you should go out there once and actually SEE FOR YOURSELF instead of making ignorant comments.

You mean to tell me that you haven't blindly bought tickets hoping and praying App St makes it this year?
