Charleston Southern Head Coach Jay Mills hired Georgia Southern Assistant Shawn Quinn as Defensive Coordinator. Coach Quinn served as Linebackers Coach and Recruiting Coordinator for the Georgia Southern Eagles for the past two seasons.

CSU Tabs Quinn as Defensive Coordinator
“We are very excited about the addition of Coach Quinn to the CSU football family,” says (CSU Head Coach, Jay) Mills. “He brings a wealth of experiences and knowledge on defense as well as recruiting success to our program. His passion for the game, as well as for the student-athletes he leads, will be evident to everyone he meets.”
Wow!!! Great hire. This guy comes with great experience and success. Very impressive!!!

I want to see a CSU defense that plays with a high level of passion and controlled intensity. I want to see a defense that hits people hard, that doesn't get pushed around, can get after a QB, and can come up with a stop if needed.

Phase I of the new Field House complex at the North end of the field got underway this season and should be fairly close to finished by now(I am in El Paso so can't verify).
