Since '78??? Thirty years ago? How about we make it a little more relevant... say the last ten years...

Big Sky titles... 1
CAA titles... 3

Wouldn't it be 8? Or is 7 as high as you can count? ;)

Don't hold your hand on your A** waiting for THAT to happen....it just might grow there. You might want to actually MAKE the playoffs first, then worry about who/when/where you're meeting.....

UD has made the playoffs 13 times.. Montana 17... now considering that UD plays in a conference that is much stronger than the Big Sky.. four less playoff appearences is not surprising. If you want some proof as to the relative strengths of the two leagues.. take a look at this cold hard fact...

Playoff wins by CAA schools... excluding UD... 27

Playoff wins by Big Sky schools... excluding... Montana... 5..... :yikes:

I rest my case............
Maybe I'm just completely missing the message. But, the Big Sky has 5 nc's and 5 runner-ups in the nc. How is it there are only 5 playoff wins excluding Montana's?

I'm pretty sure he's not counting any playoff wins by Boise State, Nevada, or Idaho.

Six for GSU, 2 for ASU. Perhaps you're using Karl Rove math?

The correct number would be two for GSU.. they won their other four as an Independent.. prior to joining the SoCon in 1992... ;)

Why would I, they aren't current members of the BSC...

I stand corrected.. it's only 25-5 in favor of the CAA over the Big Sky. Richmond and Hofstra each had one playoff win prior to joining the Yankee/A10/CAA conference....

Try as I might, it is awfully hard to focus on the subject of this thread whenever AZGrzFan, WTAG, lizrdgizrd, and ChickenMan make posts.

Their avitars are too distracting.

As if that were bad.

I'm counting the times that a team that was a member of the Southern Conference won a National Championship. Marshall was SoCon back then plain and simple. You want to keep redoing the math, have at it. We've still got you beat.

Well in that case we have 5, still more than the "be all end all" CAA.

Who cares about the numbers, I can't stop staring at your avitars.....
