Big South OL 2012

Post by bjtheflamesfan »

These next two are probably my favorite ones of the year because its a chance for the Big South fans to talk up their big boys up front. First up, the road graders

I'll take a stab at VMI's August 1 two-deep:

LT Patrick Goulden; R-Jr., 6'3", 280 or
Chad Reed, Fr., 6'6", 310

LG: Robert Collins; R-Jr., 6'2", 285
James Snyder; R-Jr., 6'2", 275

C: Dave Stradford; R-Sr., 5'11", 280
Will Lucas; Jr., 6'2", 260

RG: Jaron Rice, So., 6'3", 310 (in summer school) OR
Nate Murray; R-Fr., 6'3", 300

RT: Andy Marcotte; R-So., 6'7" 319
Jordan Veal, Fr., 6'4", 305
1-AA is tops!!

Stony Brook has four returning starters from last years offensive line:

LT Scott Hernandez JR OL 6-6 315
C Mike Lisi SO OL 6-2 280
RG Cody Precht SO OL 6-3 285
RT Michael Bamiro JR OL 6-8 350

Last year I thought they were great run blocking, but shaky at times in pass protection. We did graduate a first team all conference lineman, Joe Faiella. Still I'm hoping this can develop into a special group over the next two seasons.

I'd rate G-W's OL #1 with SB #2. Then it's everybody else
