UND is not a bottom feeder. I think the media poll is more accurate. We belong in the middle of the pack to start. Most BSC coaches probably don't know much about UND. Time to make some noise in this conference.

There's going to be several surprises up and several down in these polls. This looks to be a restructuring year in the Big Sky

Of course I'm a little biased, but I think Weber can win the conference just based on their schedule. The have a very favorable conference schedule. No MSU (picked 1st and 1st) or PSU (4th & 4th), and their toughest conference games are at home: EWU (2nd & 2nd), CP (5th & 5th), and UM (3rd & 3rd). Toughest road game is SUU (8th & 8th).

They know that UND comes from A crappy conference (Great West) and they play in a dome... They don't need to know much else.

Care to share with us Sac State's record over the past 5 or so years against the former members of that "crappy conference"?

Just looked it up Sac State is 2-7 against the Great West since 2006......0-4 since 2009. In fact Sac has a losing record against every member of the Great West they have been willing to play.....crappy conference for sure.

I have no problem with these polls.......because they mean absolutely nothing :)

I'm really excited for the year to start - can't wait to have a full slate of BSC teams. Due to the poor schedules of the prior years, I'm hoping the grind of playing a good caliber club on a weekly basis won't affect UND too much, but also I think it will help them stay focused and not get complacent.

So many of these teams are comparable it's hard to take these pre-seasons as anything other than a little mild humor. But is is nice to get a little pre-season recognition.

Right now my poll would be:

MSU
EWU
CPSLO
UM
PSU
SUU
WSU
NAU
SAC
UND
ISU
UCD
UNC

I hope montana surprises and does well. It's good for the conference. Or at least play the role of spoiler for us in the brawl.

Well you guys are gonna be good, Bozeman is a tough place to play, and I agreed with Rangers picks so that should have been assumed. I used to not put credence in Griz fans questioning Cat intelligence but now I'm not so sure... :kisswink:

Eh, it's really not that bad. Just smack them in the mouth early on and they'll "submit".

Too soon?

While I admit that both of these polls leave a lot to be desired (and are worthless anyway given their pre-season status, I HIGHLY doubt that ANY team getting first place votes in EITHER poll is a candidate for an immediate trip to the crapper. That's just wishful thinking, folks. UM may not win the title this year, but they're not going to finish under .500, either. I remember hearing these "predictions" the last time they changed coaches, and that didn't really pan out, either. They may have lost the league championship for the first time in forever, but they certainly didn't make a play to replace ISU/UNC in the cellar.

:dunce:

The Great West was the WORST football conference in the country hands down. Didnt say all the programs were crappy or that any were crappy for that matter, so calm down young lady.

And Poly and the farm extension getting in with a football only membership is complete and utter BS. You p*****s couldnt handle being an all-sports member so :stfu: .
