The Dukes had a great practice on Monday. "T - Good " showed no signs of a hamstring injury. He looked very good. I was really impressed with Birdsong.I had talked with his Dad at a spring practice and I see why Va Tech , UVA and UT Vols showed a lot of interest in him. Go Dukes !!!

A very fun practice to watch today. Lots of one on one stuff. Ian Fisher = Rodney Landers 2.0

I do not like the new matte helmets. A quick fix, some clear coat.

Is JMU headed back to contending for CAA prominence or do they need another year or two?

In bewtween JMU fans fighting about conference re-alignment we talk about playing football. We believe JMU is back, I doubt any CAA team is looking forward to playing JMU this year...we shall see.

I think we CAN beat any team we play with the possible/obvious exception of West Virginia...prayin' we give a fight Iand get a few bounces

Define 'a lot'.

A lot = I recognize your online name via my own problem of spending way too much time on the CAAzone. I agree, there are plenty of c*ck gobblers on the zone...

In fairness, my handle is memorable as he11, and my takes are fresher than a bag of ice cubes. So it's no wonder you remember me.

After your comment I checked my stats over on CAAZone. I'm not that big a geek: 400 or so posts in 2.5 years of membership. There are keyboard worshippers over there that put 400 posts on board in 2.5 weeks.

Nobody fvcks with the Jesus.

Fridays practice the Dukes looked really sharp. However, Thourogood`s hamstring problem came back. He started limping and the coaches took him out of the rest of the practice. In steps our probable new back up QB, true freshman from Newark Delaware ( KC Keeler eat your heart out), Taylor Reynolds. Reynolds is a duel threat QB. I think he is a very talented QB.
ASUG8 , to answer your question about the Dukes CAA prominence, I think the Dukes will win the CAA this year. Our biggest problem is if Thorpe gets injured and who will the QB to fill in. We had a very good back up , but he transfered.

Yeah, he was a well thought of recruit, that many of the locals down in Delaware wanted to see in Blue and Gold. A good get by the Dukes. But the story goes that he really wanted to go AWAY to school, and I can't blame him for that. College just isn't the same when your immediate family is less than a 5 minute drive from your dorm room.

JMU won't win the CAA if Thorpe gets injured (lost for most/all the season). Then again ODU won't win the CAA if Heineke gets injured. And that probably goes for just about any other CAA team with their starting QB...
