Shouldn't be too many. Looks like a pretty weak storm by Thurs night.

No effect on the EC(b) on Saturday. It's a non-issue. :coffee:

I haven't looked at schedes for all the following, but with games Thur night, Fri night, and Saturday afternoon- night, looks like could be an issue with some Southland, MVFC and OVC, and with some SEC, Slum Belt, Big Ten and MAC that are hosting I-AA.

The graphic implies winds in the 30 mph range by Thursday game times.

Is this what football and modern society has come too? We concern ourselves with a breeze accompanied by precipitation while planning our football?

Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?

Looks like it tracks right up the Mississippi. Do people live on the other side of that river?

Does that include millions of square miles of open ocean?

Heard this morning the Nicholls St - Oregon St game was in danger.

Amazing that Notre Dame had the foresight to move the Navy game this weekend to Ireland... :notworthy: :notworthy:

I know OSU's program is pathetic, but I don't think they've resorted to playing FCS teams from lower-tier conferences on the road just yet.

The issue was Nicholls St getting there. The Louisiana Tech - Texas A&M game scheduled for Thursday has been moved to October.

Issac should hit Todd Akin's door at approximately 7AM Sat.

SEMO and SIU play Thur night and might get a little wet. Tennessee State and FAU may have a rough time Sat night. EKU @ Purdue may be in the path Sat afternoon.

Dayton @ ISU could take a direct hit Sat afternoon.

SIU plays @ EIU Thursday and the game should not be affected. Charleston, IL forecast shows:
Thursday Night
Clear. Low of 68F. Winds less than 5 mph.

After what happened on week 1 of last year, I wouldn't be surprised at anything they pulled.

I didn't phrase that very well -- should have said SEMO and SIU each play Thur night.

With the storm moving so slow (and tracking more and more toward the west), it's like all bets are off . . .

Tulane is scheduled to host Rutgers in the Superdome on Saturday. They've been practicing at Samford this week. For Furmie's sake I hope they don't switch jerseys.

Wish we could get a tiny bit of that rain here - it's so smoky from forest fires that you can hardly see the mountains. I would think it's smoky enough that the players will not be able to catch their breath as well as usual.

With over 2 FEET of rain, and storm surge, the north shore communities along Lake Pontechraine are see flooding higher than from Katrina. We'd have loved to share some of the rain!

UNI is going to get throttled...plus I have a6 day weekend, family in the ville, and needed to get the fuck away from cedar falls and it's residents for a while....oh and the shellbyville/louisville area is a great freaking area to visit (minus being in the shitty eastern time zone)

Free tickets to the game, staying on a HUGE acerage with nothing around us for miles with an easy 30 minute drive into louisville if we want to go in.....

If we didn't need a get away like we did we'd have been there...but going to louisville for a week was just as cheap as 2 days in madison the way out works out

Oh and football on an 80 inch l.e.d. tv isn't too bad
