7:00 pm Primetime| ESPN3.com | 570WKBN
Northern Iowa comes into Stambaugh Stadium absolutely owning Youngstown State over the past decade. The last time Youngstown State defeated Northern Iowa... Jim Tressel was our head coach, Bill Clinton was our President, September 11th was a year away. 4,355 DAYS.... # of days since Youngstown State defeated Northern Iowa.
Will the streak FINALLY end?!
Post your predictions here.... YSU is expecting the largest crowd in a long... long time for this game. Anything short of a sell-out would be a failure on the part of YSU fans.

From watching UNI play, Iowa should be favored over Wisconsin.

Is this game televised??, I'm going on a limb and giving the edge to the home team in a high scoring game

I would like to be at this game.
Can YSU get the UNI 'monkey' off their backs?
I'll take YSU in a close one: 34-31

If it don't happen this year, it probably will never happen for YSU.
FYI, UNI sustained two very key injuries at LB in the Iowa game, which could hurt UNI big time.

Doesn't Farley's son play LB?

Yes, he does. He was not a starter but has been in the rotation, and has been seeing a good amount of time.

Both Gacke and Cutkomp crutched off with knee injuries. Although nothing has come out yet, Cutkomp's sounds serious, and Gacke's idk yet.
Gacke is UNI's starting MLB, and the best LB we have.

That sucks to lose 2 guys from the same position, wish them the best

If we lost two LB's, we would be screwed........one of the few positions we are thin at right now.

So UNI's first half the schedule consists of 2 games against BigTen opponents, the #4/#3 FCS team, and the #1 FCS team (with a non-counting D2 game thrown in). Yikes.

I just saw that UNI had 2 Big Ten on their schedule AND a Div II, which I didn't know.

WTF?
-UNI has relatively close losses to Wisconsin and Iowa.
-UNI could end up with close losses @ UNI and versus NDSU, who both could end up as seeds, and finish 7-4.
Since they played a Div II, that would mean 6-4 versus Div I and no playoffs.
There are a few others that have 2 I-A AND a Div II, but only 3 are playoff contenders- SHSU, UNI, and NAU, meaning unless they upset a I-A, would have to go 7-1 in conference play to make the playoffs. At least NAU didn't schedule 2 BCS and beat non BCS UNLV.
UNI and SHSU are the only 2 I could find that have 2 BCS AND a Div II. At least the Southland isn't as tough as the MVFC, so it likely won't keep SHSU out.
WTF was UNI's AD smoking?

The Bills, and Savannah State dropped us and we got stuck with no other option.

I don't know about "the bills"...but
SSU dropped UNI in May-ish...for Florida State....that left UNI with about a handful of options. We had a ton of offers from other FBS schools, but Dannen didn't want to start with BCS school, FBS school, BCS school, Youngstown State, North Dakota State, Southern Illinois all before the bye week. I know Boise State and BYU called almost every day until we announced the Central State game trying to get a game set up.

The Penguins do want paybacks but they won't get them unless they can stop Bell.

The bills needing to be paid is why we played 2 FBS games.

What, are you sitting around Dannen's office, listening in on phone calls now?
