I dont see Weber on the list. We have 6 games left to get 7 d1 wins.

Poly. Their game with us is a non counter which leaves NAU the only legitimate threat left on the schedule for them.

Poly is my number one - I don't see them losing a game until possibly November 3rd, and they don't play either Montana school.
NAU is my number two - I don't see them losing another game until possibly November 17th. They already beat Montana, and don't play MSU or EWU this season.
If either one of these schools is going to win a conference title, this would be the year.

It's going to be very interesting as both these teams could easily be heading into that game with 1 or 2 losses between them. Forget about getting four BSC teams in the playoffs. Hell, we might get 3 seeds.

I think I'll reserve judgement until Ranger amends his post to indicate which games are those bogus within-conference OOC games. As kalm mentioned, that will be a key factor in this discussion.
Can you do that, please, Ranger?

There is only one OOC-within conference game left on anyone's schedule, and it's EWU/CP.

In that case, SE, I'd have to give the nod to CP. A loss to EWU wouldn't matter so long as they achieve 7 D-I wins, and at this point barring a massive influx of injuries, that's probably a given. The only games even resembling tests on their schedgy are Sac and NAU, both of which have a recent history of blowing early-season momentum late in the season.
I'm not sure who would be next. Maybe NAU, but CP will be a HUGE one for them to close out the season. The worst chance would probably be UND, which still has EWU and both Montanas. SUU will also be a tough game for them if Sorenson is on his game.

I thought it would be Cal Poly, but upon further inspection... it's got to be Montana State. MSU doesn't play Cal Poly or NAU, they get North Dakota and Eastern at home and have a road game at struggling Montana.
NAU has a greased path as well.

I think we're pretty much a long shot at this point. An at-large berth is definitely doable, but we need a lot of things to go our way for even a share of the title.

Montana State's path has been so easy already, that I almost have to think that's given them time to work out the kinks. I'd say MSU and Cal Poly, sicne I get 2. Eastern drew a bear of a schedule (thank you, Mr. Chaves) and you're already seeing how it has beat them up in September. Plus, they looked like crap yesterday and I just can't conceiably see Eastern walking through some of the tougher road games on the sked.

Bio: Consider that EWU is a VERY tough team this year, even on the road, and that rivalry games have a way of going the "wrong" way even when one team whomps. UM does NOT suck this year, though they are mediocre at best under their own stringent standards. Additionally, UND has proven to be pretty tough on the road as well. I do NOT give MSU an "easy" grade for the remainder of their schedule. That's not to say MSU won't win the conference title; just that it won't be a trip down Easy Street.
NAU may well have a "greased path," but they also have their history to factor in.

Cal Poly looks like the best team so far, but Montana St and NAU have easier looking schedules at this point.

Huh? CPSLO managed a BSC schedule without conf. games with EWU, Montana or Montana St. Fullerton handed it to his new addition at schedule time; watch him thump his chest when they win it citing the magic he performed in forming a 13 member conference.

WIthout a doubt... Cal Poly. So much so that they shouldnt be eligible for the title bc they have a h&h contract with EWU which throws a wrench in it.. At the same time, I cant complain bc EWU might lose to Cal Poly..

Can't the same be said about EWU, with the h&h contract with Cal Poly throwing a wrench in it?

Isn't Cal Poly's game vs EWU non conference game...Them and NAU have it the easiest the rest of the way.

Are you talking about 0-2 Montana? At this point one could argue that Cal Poly's conference schedule was made harder this year because Montana was left off the schedule.

Ha! You beat me to it. Looks to me like Montana and Montana St got the easy schedule as they dodged Cal Poly.
