TU (2-2/1-0) @ JMU (3-1/1-0) (1 pm, NBC Sports) in the CAA Game of the Week. 27-21.
URI (0-4/0-2) @ Brown (2-1/1-0) (1 pm) by 4 in the battle for the Governor's Cup.
Brown so far:
W @ Holy Cross 24-21
L Haavard 45-21
W @ G Town 37-10
Brown has won 3 of the last 4, so going with the "home" team (bout 30 miles Kingston to Providence).
UNH (3-2/1-1) @ GST (0-5/0-2) (3:30 pm) by 39
Maine (1-3/0-1) @ UD (4-1/1-1) (3:30 pm) (CSN MA, CSN ME, CSN CH, CSN CA, CSN NW, TCN) by 17
W&M (1-4/1-2) @ Penn (3:30 pm) by 7
Penn so sar:
L @ Lafayette 28-21
L Villanova 24-8
@ W Dartmouth 28-21
Well, W&M lost at home to Lafayette 17-14, and Penn lost @ Lafayette 28-21. Sounds like a tossup. No way am I picking the CAA to go 0-2 vs the Ivy League, so going with W&M.
UR (3-2/1-1) @ Villanova (4-1/2-0) (6 pm) by 7
Bye: ODU

Scott is playing apparently. Question is, how close to 100% will he be?

Brown @ URI 27-20 URI works hard to remain winless in order to maintain the integrity of it's 'showdown of the winless' with Georgia St.
Towson @ JMU 31-20 JMU RB DeQuan Scott; will he play? In any event he likely won't be 100%. The offense is suspect without him, and Towson has a very good defense, both run and pass. Additionally, if DB Titus Till doesn't play or is not 100%, look for Enders to make some yardage passing long. JMU defense may be the best against the run in the CAA, but they play soft underneath pass coverage. With just enough West to keep JMU honest, look for Enders to march down the field with ball control short to medium passing.
Maine @ UD 17-34 UD too much for a "down"(east) Maine on both sides of the ball.
W&M @ Penn 21-14 William an Mary continues it's record setting streak; at 2 games. but it may be very close. W&M defense carries the day.
EDIT: I heard that Ortiz may not play because of concussion symptoms. If that is the case the game is a toss up.
Richmond @ Villanova 31-24 UR just a little too much for a vastly improved Villanova. Andy Talley is one of the best coaches in all of FCS, and VU at home, so it will be close.
UNH @ GaSt 52-6 Really? Georgia State is really going FBS; and not DIII or NAIA?

5-1 This week.

Well, you are the only one I've seen this weekend between this board and the JMU one who got 5 of 6. Everyone one else picked UD over Maine and UNH over UR (I see ODU78 there also picked UR, but he also picked TU). A few picked either URI over Brown or Penn over W&M and got 3 of 6.

I'm surprised more people did not pick Richmond over Villanova. I guess that I picked them because we just got done playing them and I didn't think they were all that bad. But at worst, this was a pick'em game. Neither had much on the resume to get excited about.

I went back to look at my record. I have not had a perfect week yet but only missed one each week (except for some reason I did not make picks in week 2

) So I am 31-5 thus far.

Well, there have been 47 games with CAA teams (I am 38-9).
There was 10 games in Week 2, so if you didn't pick then you would have picked 37 games.
You said you're 31-5. That is only 36 games. You should be either 32-5 or 31-6. If you're 31-5, then you missed a game besides Week 2.

Dammit. I just went through this again and come up with 46 games. What am I missing?
I have the following:
Week 1 - 9 games
2 - 10 games
3 - 8 games
4 - 7 games
5 - 6 games
6 - 6 games

Maybe you skipped a GSU OOC game since they're really not CAA. I know I did in the early weeks.

Well, then you're 32-5. You automatically get credit for any GST game whether you included a prediction or not- picking GST for an L is automatic

- kind of like getting 400 for signing you're name on the SAT (at least it used to be that way 20 yrs ago when I last took it).
Except for this week, with 0-6 GST @ 0-5 URI in the o-fer game. This might be the CAA Game of the Week.

(I'm going with URI).
